  1. A simple plug & play solution --- http://www.venturerider.org/forum/photopost/showproduct.php?product=10&title=stebel-2f-wolo-air-horn-wiring-harness&cat=15
  2. Yea those ads all have scammer written all over them, And all by the same dude too. Run Yammer and don't look back pal. Keep looking, you'll find one you'll like.
  3. spell check missed this one or I over looked it altogether. LOL
  4. "So, if your compressor was running continuously, it could have gotten really hot" Ya it did. Hot enough it had to cool off a long time. If I remember it sat overnight before taking it apart then filled the block with a light oil to soak the bearings. Later by slowly working the pulley back and forth I finally got it freed up. But as stated above damage was done.
  5. Husky brand 60 gallon up right 2 hp from Home Depot. Regular oil changes about every other year depending on how much run time. Couple years ago I forgot to turn it off. Had an air leaking hose so it overheated , temporarily sized up then belt burned up. Worked on the pump and got it freed and running again, but the damage was done so it was only a matter of time till I get what I have now. Since that time I shut off the motor and closed the main air valve before leaving the garage. Sky I hear ya on Craftsman tools. Wish it was that easy Yammer. That Murphy guy is just too sneaky.
  6. March hasn't been kind to me so far. At the beginning of the month my eclectic motor on my band saw let all the smoke out requiring a $160 replacement. I did get 8 or 10 years of faithful service from it thou. This weekend my upright air compressor sounded it's death knell with a rather loud bang. The air pump had given me a few problems in the last couple of years but was able to nurse it back into service. Not gonna happen this time thou. This unit has given me 16 years of sometimes hard use so can't complain too much here either. This'll cost me $225 for it's replacement. Sure hope old man Murphy is done pestering me now cause it's annoying and costly too. Larry
  7. Good luck Rod. We'll still be around so stop in when you can
  8. Sorry Dan. Was rooting for WV but they fell behind in the last few minutes. Villanova topped them by 2pts in the end. Hoping my Michigan team can move forward again. we'll see how they do against Florida tomorrow.
  9. Certainly not on a 2nd gen and most likely nothing else either. I'm with Carl on this one. Just viewing the video gave me the willies when the road (?) started going downhill on those hairpin turns. Didn't breath any easier till he got back to the canyons bottom. Larry
  10. That's good info to know about FB Marketplace. Glad to hear you sold you items quickly. @Freebird You have mail
  11. Don the F-4 windshields are the way to go. I'm actually on my 3rd windshield. First I had the oem shield, which is taller than your base model shield I think. Then went to a +3 F-4 tint. It was fine for Joyce but I would get just enough wind turbulence to be annoying when wearing a helmet. I now have the +5 tinted and love it. I did add a set of Baker Wings to draw in more air when needed. Yea even with that +5 shield I'm staying home till temps hit the mid 40's, preferably 50+. Larry
  12. Welcome to the Slingshot world Don & Eileen. I knew 2 years ago you loved taking mine for a spin at MD. You'll have a blast cruising in comfort now. Oh ya let the accessorizing begin. I'll catch up with you guys sometime down the road. Larry
  13. Hopefully you figured this now. Yes you need to drill thru the foot rest brackets. Also you can do the drilling while still attached but they need to be loosened from the frame just the same. Good luck & if you need anything give me a heads up. Larry
  14. Still alive and kicking. Been busy here at home. What email name did you use? Dates mail sent? I'll wade back thru my emails to see if/where I overlooked you. Larry
  15. Sure wished we were a lot closer to you and Lonna, Brad. Would love to see you guys again. Larry
  16. unfortunately we'll both miss this years MD.
  17. Sold for $2400 even. Great buy with only 41k on the odometer
  18. I'm hoping to be there again. Depending on the date chosen thou. We are going to a Slingshot Rally in Maggie Valley, NC from May 28th to June 3rd. So if MD is held the weekend of 25-27 we should make it. Larry
  19. I have a new one available. Check my ad here --- http://www.venturerider.org/forum/photopost/showproduct.php?product=30&title=rsv-2f-rstd-reciever-hitch&cat=15 Shipping to Canada isn't a problem either. PM me for more info on getting one to you. Larry Thanks Don/Freebird
  20. I'm about as guilty as many here have noted with their list of too much stuff. I increased my garages size by a third a number of years ago then about 5 years ago added another extension effectively doubling the original garages size. Guess what? It's still not big enough for what I'd prefer it to be size wise. But ordnances says nope I've run out of space on my lot, so I'll just have to continue on at my present state.
  21. Waiting is about all he can do. Good luck to him at his court date.
  22. Awesome post Puc. I really enjoyed reading about the riders info and history. Didn't have time to read all of them but will before the weekend is over. Is the fellow you lended a hand from your YouTube post running again? Larry
  23. Thanks guys. Wasn't much going on yesterday, caught some football, and dinner out with the wife. Too wet and cold to even think of getting the Slingshot out too. Oh well that's what happens for having a winter birthday. Looking forward to spring and even more for summer riding season. Hope to see a few of our members this year. Larry
  24. Both great locations with over 100 attendee's at Fort Collins. While Cody was awesome it was smaller. Would love to go west again but these rallies still need to have someone willing to spearhead and organize them. The same thing with even the regionals that have been posted throughout the year. Larry
