  1. Kretz man, you're breaking our Heart, AGAIN!!! We owned exactly the same '09 RSTD, and absolutely adored 'The Wee Beastie'. Had to let 'Miss Daisy' go when we couldn't back it over a razor-thin carpet in the Garage. Sad, sad Day. Best Bike we owned, of 20 over the Years. IF we ever get to a point where things make it possible, that Bike will be back in the Barn in a blink. Rgds, WRIDR
  2. Thanks a TON Chaharly, those kind words are very much appreciated. What we CAN tell you - and the Rest of The Old Guard on behalf of The Tooch - is he's already got his Head around this Crap in impressive fashion. Took us best part of a Year to get to that point, and wasn't easy. The Tooch will get'r done, just watch. Warmest Rgds, WRIDR
  3. Well Tooch, we've not met, or even mutually yapped, BUT sadly we do share something really nasty!~ Stage 4 Metastatic Prostate Cancer - like yours, incurable. Large Tumor popped up on our Collarbone of all places, and that really threw the Medicos for a loop... until they FINALLY tracked it back down to the Pelvic Bone - go figure!!! Months later, after a series of Isotope Injections, and Testosterone Blockers, the Grapefruit-sized Tumors in our Abdominal Cavity reduced to nothing... for a while. When they came back; same old same old, and away they went again. This has occurred several times. Here's what we hope may help a bit: Ours happened in 2006!!! Strategies our Family employed in The Battle are: a) DIET. So important to continued Quality of Life. b) Ignore the Beggar as best you can; continue Living and Loving Life each Day the Sun comes up - a BIG Win by itself. c) You'll soon discover this last one in the immediate Days Ahead: despite universal griping about lousy Medical and Hospital care, any Serious Illness immediately goes to the Front Of The Line. You won't wait long for anything! Dearly wish we could offer more. You have a TON of Friends here, and we know everybody will be pulling for you BIG TIME. Please add us to that List. Warmest Regards, WRIDR
  4. Heheheh... hands up anyone who HASN'T got one of these stories? Ours starred the hatchback on a nearly new (to us), relatively pristine, semi-hi-end SUV. Had the Hatch up while perusing the overwhelming number of control buttons 'n touch screen items - 42 in all. Decided to back 'er out despite 'Headache From Hell', and proceeded to merge both doors with sound effects we'll never forget... hopefully!~ Rgds, WRIDR
  5. "loud CLAP of thunder right after being pronounced "Husband and Wife" " Only The Pucster could arrange an event like that! Sincere Condolences on all the Bereavement Issues, Bud. So relieved to read it's over! We strongly suggest taking the rest of June OFF!!!~ Hugs, WRIDR
  6. Hey Man, READ these Posts again! NOBODY wants to see you GO. It's your Family outside of Family, and even though We've never met, there'd be a real sense of loss if you disappear from these pages. PLEASE stick around. We all gotta keep Don's Forum alive 'n HEALTHY. He's put so much time and energy into this Amazing Place, and The People who 'live' here, it must hurt something awful to see anybody who's been around as long as You have, to suggest leaving. Warmest regards, WRIDR
  7. This Year, Chaharly? ANYWHERE but NORTH!!!~ We're working on assumptions here, BUT the Cold Weather has been around 'way too long. There's a high probability nothing to The North will be comfy. Also quite likely pretty messy, as things begin settling down. Something that might help narrow down the Choices; hope it helps a little. Rgds, WRIDR
  8. Wow! Just WOW!~ Rgds, WRIDR
  9. "POSERS!" Heheheh... every time we see THAT word, up pops an instant flashback to the LAST time we went to the popular Northern 'Bike Week' (in Lake George, NY?) to check out the Market Place, and investigate custom seats for our then current Ride... a Honda Shadow we think - too many bikes? Nah, never have enough! Bike Week was unbelievably crowded, so we hiked it back to Lake Placid (not that far, and a lot less crowded) for The Night. Got a nice 'middle-level' motel room, then booted down to Main Street to see whuttup. WHOOOF! With apologies to Forum Members in the Professional ranks, who are NOT in the 'P' Category, we round the corner, and come face-to-face with hundreds and hundreds of Guys 'n Bikes lined cheek-to-cheek. On a sweltering Summer Evening, virtually every single Guy was wearing full dress Leathers, boots, head Bandanas, etc. You could easily determine most were Day-time 'Suits', and probably few ever did a l.d. ride. It was pretty disgusting, and we didn't stay long. Hope they had a good time. One of very few less-than-happy rides in nearly 60 years on two wheels. Rgds, WRIDR
  10. Just givvus five minutes in a dark Alley with the Guy who coined the Phrase: "Golden Years"!! Rgds, WRIDR
  11. We can close our eyes, and see You riding down the Street in that Sherman, Bud! Hugs, WRIDR

BUT... be careful how MANY holes you drill. Maybe three or four tops, then STOP to test for a day or two. We bear-catted along drillin 'n drillin, and ended up with more necessary to achieve a decent sound. Not easy to patch individual holes once created. Rgds, WRIDR
  13. Holy moly, Pucster! We have a strong suspicion: IF you walked down the street packing that incredible Weapon of Total Annihilation, you wouldn't make it past the second corner before being completely surrounded by flashing red Jam Jars!!!~ Rock on Wild Thang, you got EVERYBODY'S butt covered!~ Rgds, WRIDR
  14. Oh MAN, wish we were still able to help!!! So sorry to see this happen; let's hope it's only a one-time thing. Rgds, WRIDR
  15. Whhhoooff, Don! This 'slightly' edges out the dozen Roses in four different colors we got for our Missus! We'll be blocking this Link out real quick on The Other Family 'Puter. Awesome move!~ Rgds, WRIDR
  16. Awwww Pucster; we are so saddened for you and your beloved Brother, BUT glad to read his Suffering is finally over. You committed everything possible for him, and we know he (AND his Family) appreciated all that you've done. Take solace in that, dear Friend. We'll be thinking of you often in the tough days ahead, but relieved to see Closure is in sight. Rest EASY, Bud. You did well. Gentle hugs, WRIDR
  17. IF we were talking ten, or even five years ago, we'd point The Finger directly at Television Coverage. But these days, while TV still plays a prominent role, you have to add The Net as arguably an even worse contributor to The Cause. EVERYBODY has TV, and MOST have Internet access to influence thoughts leaning toward Violence. Heck, you can even find Instructions to build a Weapon. AND there's no way to Police or Regulate any INFO on The Net. The Slippery Slope has become a Circus Ride. Rgds, WRIDR
  18. Man, we LOVE 'our' Forum!!! Look at the 'Sign Up' dates on most of these posts - '06, '08, and so on. ALL of The Old Crew coming together to help one of Their Own. Beautiful, beautiful, Stuff. As a relative 'Newbie' ('14) we humbly add our Best Wishes too. You have a TON of Friends, Dude.~ Warmest Rgds, WRIDR
  19. Hey! Just caught up with this, Birthday Boy. Hope you had a great day, and TONS more of 'em. BiG Hugs, WRIDR
  20. Quote from Styler... "We have more than bikes in common" Wow!! Blew us awaaaay with this one, Bud. One of the first things learned was not wearing short sleeves when messing with lead 'pigs'. Bare arms end up covered in 'splatter burns', right? Get back to you later. Our Rescued Golden Retriever (39 Puppies before 4th Birthday) needs to go chew some grass. Better at 10 pm than Midnight last night. Poor old Soul is slowly recovering 18 months later. She still has issues, but we love her dearly. Rgds, WRIDR
  21. Geeze Louise, there ARE some Pipe Smoking Varmints lurking in The Venture Woods! (Hopefully that gets us off The Hook with Don.) And... the Post already paid Personal Dividends - the Bean Grinder Idea is Priceless, thanks so much Condor. Getting 'er done in One Swell Foop will save us Tons of Time! Also HUGE thanks to CaseyJ for a Big Bunch of Great Suggestions! Keep 'em coming Folks, we're luvving it!~ Relieved AND Grateful Thanks, WRIDR
  22. O-Mi-Gawd Pucster; you've blown us awaaaay again! How the Hazelnuts didja ever find something THAT perfect so SOON???!!! Awesome; absolutely freak'n Awesome, Dude. She must have been sitting there waiting for YOU to show up! Only flaw: far too much space begging for STICKERS. THAT's gonna take a while.~ Amazed Rgds, WRIDR.
  23. After offering an occasional 'Tut Tut' about 'Off Topic' posts, we're committing the same bloody Offence. Any Pipe Smokers among our Midst? Given our assumption about the Average Age of The Membership, we assume there must be a few Olde Pharts who still suck the stem of a Tobacco Burning Artifact? If we're right, they've undoubtedly experienced frustration about finding a good pouch of Pipe Tobacco that doesn't turn your tongue into a Charcoal Briquet. We currently have a short list of one; Captain Black 'Gold'. However... most recent pouch purchases are far from perfectly processed, containing far too many long, unmanageable strings almost impossible to stuff into a pipe bowl. Fortunately, at the semi-youthful age of 76, we've happened upon a remarkably simple way to alleviate The Problem. Note Scissors in below photo. Dump a pinch on Desktop, then ruthlessly attack with said Scissors until all the overlong culprits are reduced to a manageable pile of short stuff that easily slides into Pipe Bowl. No thanks necessary; and apologies to Don for our errant ways. It will never (almost) happen again. Be thankful we didn't include a Rant on the cost of said Pouch in Canada!~ Gad, hope we're right, AND haven't wasted everyone's time! Rgds, WRIDR

Migawd Pucster, you have built The Bike we would cheerfully kill for! Don't care about CO$T. If necessary to dig up every sock buried in the backyard, we'd do it to own that Bike! And we'd bet lotsa other Folks would too. Rgds, WRIDR

For starters, there may be additional 'slippage' leaking out of this 76 yr old brain, but we're thinking The Wee Beastie is actually quite pretty! But... running/riding ANYTHING at over 300 kph, in our opinion is downright suicidal. Simply no time to react to any unexpected situation, and we don't consider that Fun. NUTS maybe; definitely not FUN. Rgds, WRIDR
