  1. I bought the motion pro manometer type and I was disappointed. They had bubbles. I called the manufacturer and was told I needed to buy a refill kit. I sold them cheap and bought a gauge set that I am happy with. Just to make sure, I connected all four tubes and pulled a vacuum with my hand held mity vac and all the gauges read the same.
  2. Wow! And I thought I had too many things to keep up!
  3. And a whole lot of kids are growing up without their Dad around to control them.
  4. Several decades ago, there was a saying that CA was 10 years ahead of the rest of the country?!!!!!!
  5. The problem is the lack of law enforcement.

  7. I'm retarded, uh, retired, and would be pleased to ride down most any day for a visit and a hamburger!
  8. This forum is not like most forums. We actually try to be friends as well as forum members.
  9. You may want to watch this series of videos about Venture maintenance. Fork bearing adjustment is covered in one of the videos. https://www.yamahaventure.nl/xvz-maintenance-video.html
  10. Welcome! Lots of knowledgeable members and information here.
  11. That's what they are saying on the Starbike forum, supposedly from a Yamaha source.
  12. Any way to determine how many miles are on the bike? A buyer would surely be interested in knowing.
  13. The RSV was sold thru 2013. You can pick up one of the older RSVs pretty cheap.
  14. If you do a search you might find part numbers for an car thermostat that fits and costs less than the Yam part.
  15. Nice bike! They are bringing surprisingly high prices these days it appears. I too owned a CB750 for a while. It was a 73 model bought used in 73.
  16. Welcome aboard! The MKIIs, 86 and up have better front brakes. Many members have installed MkII front forks on their MkIs to get the better brakes, 4 piston calipers.
  17. I think you can buy manifolds for this purpose. Try ebay. I just googled and there are some already made. https://www.google.com/search?q=yamaha+venture+4+carb+to+single+carb+manifold&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS975US978&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
  18. You want one that can be detached without losing air because the front suspension doesn't need much. I don't know if all of them will do it.
  19. I bought the Progressive brand. But, it appears that there are a plethora of brands to choose from.
  20. The float needle has some trash under it and won't seal. It happens on carbed motorcycles. I think Cowpuc had a procedure where he connected to the drain and pushed cleaner up into the carb fuel bowl and let it drain and repeat.
  21. Wow! That's quite a tractor. I'm sure you'll find many more uses for it.
  22. Well guys, I went to the cardiologist to get clearance for hip replacement surgery and the EKG came out different from what it has been the way they explained it and with a few skipped beats. I had noticed that my heart beat was irregular at times. So, in a month I go back for a stress test and an echocardiogram. In the mean time, I know the Vitamin K2 had an effect on my heart with the reduced angina, so I did some more research and it appears that a side effect of the K2 can be heart palpitations.... So, I reduced the intake of K2 to one supplement of 45 mcg instead of 90 and I'll see if that makes a difference. And I'm going to increase my exercise routine. Sucks to be an old fart! Ha!
  23. And prescription medicines supposedly have been tested and approved by the FDA. Who knows about supplements?
  24. And research all of your meds for side effects and drug interactions. Doctors spend very little time with each patient and the bottom line is that we have to get involved with our health decisions. I quit taking both of the heart medications the cardiologist prescribed because they were causing more harm than good in my opinion and my opinion is the only one that counts with me. I'll listen and I will try what they say. But if the meds they prescribe appears to be making things worse, I don't take it.
