  1. I liked the Hayabusa!
  2. My particular engine 21hp SV610-0212 is not available any more. A supplier has a recommended courage replacement 20hp SV601-3241. But the factory is not making any more courage engines. A short block and crank kits are available for my engine from the suppliers. Mine was run hard. My stepson said he could mow the yard in 15 minutes. I was gone a lot working temp contracts. I also run it fairly hard. But, my first rider was a 36" cut Murray with a briggs engine that had a splash lube system. It mowed an acre of grass for 7 years and my son used it to mow neighbors yards for pay that were an acre or larger. Then it mowed my current yard for 3 more yrs before it started knocking. I bought another Murray with ohv and pressure lube and it lasted 10 yrs on my current yd that is 15k sq ft including the house. Now I buy the Husqvarna with the Kohler courage and it lasted 7 or 8 yrs on the little lot. Seems to me each mower had a worse engine than before. If I buy another it will have a Kawasaki engine. Lowes has a Hustler zero turn 42" with a Kawasaki engine for $2799 before my 10% veterans discount.
  3. Kohler makes a better engine called a command I believe. I think the courage line is a cheap line they came out with for cheap consumer mowers. The SV line of courage engines which I have one of are not very durable from what I have been told. They don't make an engine in the "courage" line any more. I think they renamed their cheap line "confidant".
  4. In my Husqvarna 46" cut riding lawn mower with the Kohler courage 21hp engine. It has a build date of 2010 and I don't remember exactly when I bought it but it has only been used to cut about 1/4 acre of grass. Bad engine design I'm told. Trying to decide whether to buy a new crappy Kohler engine replacement, try to rebuild the existing engine or spend $2500 on a new mower with a Kawasaki engine? Decisions! Decisions!
  5. Keep lots of fuel injector cleaner with PEA polyetheramine in the gas. It will gradually clean up the carbs. A long ride will help tremendously too with the cleaner in the gas.
  6. The 07 I just bought has stock mufflers and it is the same as yours as far as starting cold. It fires up immendiately and runs fine on full choke (after pouring a half bottle of Gumout with PEA in the gas tank) but takes a lot of warming before I can give it throttle without the choke on. After warming up it runs great on the road with lots of power. I have not tried adjusting the idle screws yet.
  7. How long have you ridden it without stopping? The seats on the smaller bikes get uncomfortable after a while or at least my ZN700 does. And for an old coot like me, I'm folded up a little too much for long rides.
  8. I think that the 2005 and up models have the same hp as the Ventures. The older models were detuned.
  9. I bought a Motion Pro unit and I couldn't get the bubbles out. After calling Motion Pro they suggested adding more fluid. The fluid will get sucked out into the intake if there is much of a difference in the vacuum. So, I was so disgusted with it that I sold it cheap just to get rid of the lousy thing. I understand the Carbtune unit works great. I haven't replaced it yet.
  10. In NC, there is a "stand your ground" law that doesn't require you to retreat from a confrontation. It also allows you to show your weapon to defuse a situation, something I would never do because if the other person has a weapon they might kill you and call it self defense. We also have a "castle" law. If an uninvited person is found to be in your home, you have the legal right to kill them. Before that law, they had to be a threat before shooting them. The key words are "in your home". You can't shoot them in the yard unless they are attacking. Carrying a gun is a responsibility that can get you jailed. But, like the saying goes, it's better to be judged by 12 than carried by pallbearers.
  11. Beautiful!
  12. Just adjust the way you align the sights when you shoot and that should take care of it.
  13. The wires are copper core spark plug wires. As far as I know, you can buy wire from O'reillys auto parts that will work. The caps screw onto the wire.
  14. Sounds like you two had a great time! You seem to have packed the two best days of boat ownership close together!
  15. It's the Metzler 880 that has delaminated and been reported by several members. Now they have an 888 that may be better? StevenG, what Metzler tire do you have good experience with? I have Metzler Lasertecs on my Kawasaki and I have been very pleased with the grip.
  16. Congratulations are in order I would say! I remember a lady comedian talking about that and how she was so sad when her kid went off to college and then the punch line was that she and her husband were running around the house naked that next day!
  17. Back in late winter of 1973, I bought at used 1973 Honda CB750 for $1150. It only had 800 miles on it. A new one cost $1450 in the winter and $1750 in the summer. After buying it I filled it up with gas from an old country store. By the time I got it home, it ran really rough. I thought that now I know why I got it so cheap. Not knowing what to do, I changed the plugs and it ran a little better. After riding it some more, I filled it with gas again and it ran great. I got bad gas from that country store, the only time I ever got bad gas as far as I know.
  18. I seem to have recovered from Shingles with the exception of still having some numbness in the front of my left knee. The knee strength is about 90% recovered. My energy is back and it isn't affecting my daily activities except I still can't drink any beer. When I do, bad things happen. Maybe some of that isn't because of shingles. I don't know for sure. Anyway, I really hope you guys don't get shingles!
  19. Sounds like some rust from the bottom of the tank may have gotten into the carbs or maybe just plugged the filter. Check the filter.
  20. From what I understand, a healthy heart operates at 50 to 75% efficiency. 50% is considered normal. So 30% while it isn't good, doesn't sound quite as bad as if the heart was 100% efficient. Wishing you the best Jack! Hang in there buddy!
  21. I would be wary of using poison on the mice. One contract job I had in Nebraska involved working in a trailer that had mice. We pointed it out to plant management and they put out poison. The little critters ate the poison and went back to their nests in the floor insulation to die. The smell was horrific. I bought a new house on an acre lot that used to be a dairy farm. During the winter, the field mice would come inside my house where is was warm. I put out traps using cheese and peanut butter. Eventually, I wiped them out.
  22. Try Super Beta Prostate. It helps me. I’m 74. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. The 65H and 71H are the load ratings and speed ratings, the number being the load rating and the letter being the speed rating. I wouldn't suggest buying a tire with a lower load rating or speed rating if you like to turn up the wick. As you might guess, the higher the number the higher the load rating. Not all tires the same size have the same load rating especially the rear. Some rear tires have a higher load rating than what the manual specifies. 120/90-18 65H 140/90-16 71H https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/docs/Street-Tire-Load-Ratings.pdf
  24. Wow! That's a beautiful 83! My second bike was a 1973 CB750. After owning and learning to ride on a CB350, I was really pleased with that smooth 4 cylinder.
  25. A hole in the piston usually means the fuel mixture was too lean and or the ignition was too advanced. A computer problem could have caused the hole in the piston.
