See Puc When it's something we need right away like a battery, we just suck it up, hold our nose and pay! But if it's something like a winter project or just some bling we want to add and it can wait awhile. There is something up here called "The Ways & Means Act" There are alway means and ways to go about acquiring the things you want at the price you can live with. I have found BongoPost, Fed-Bongo-Ex, and yoU Pester Smuggler Bob as the means, it just takes a little longer to get your way! (I should mention these are not the only options, there are several others out there with many different Handles/Names!) (I should also add Ex is a brand of Canadian beer.)

Hey Puc That price would be $66 Canadian still not bad.....but free shipping isn't free from the U.S. To good to be true! Just FYI You can't mail a battery..... We would be glad to ship most items to you in Canada. We are limited in how we can ship, based on international law. For instance, we cannot ship a battery to Canada via Post. Canadian law forbids the transport of batteries via the Postal Service, in fact we were unaware of this and had several shipments confiscated and destroyed by an over zealous Canadian postal official, which left both us and our customer without a battery. And UPS & Fedex.....will kill you with broker fees and duty. We can ship powersport batteries to Canada via UPS, but as most Canadians are aware, UPS will bill the receiver (that's you) for all customs duties and fees which includes customs broker fees. This amount seems to be arbitrary, and can vary from 5% to 40% of the determined value of the shipment. We refer to that fee as the 'Brown Robber charge' and unfortunately we cannot avoid it, or even accurately predict the total for you.

Don't even need any lights.....cause you and the bike will both glow in the dark!

Hey Dave Can I guess your working on another "BA".....Been to Aylmer/St. Thomas?! Hope you just unknowingly left something drawing down the battery and you really don't have a problem. And if you do that it's an easy find and fix.

Well I jumped through all the hoops, since I crossed the boarder. I had the trailer inspected, paid the Register of Imported Vehicles to have it certified for Canadian road use. Went to the Minisrty of Transportation to get it registered with plates in Ontario and transfered the ownership into my name. So I now actually own a Time Out Camper and it is licensed legally. Got to say the price was right or the PITA to get it here would not have been worth it. Thanks again Steamer and RockinRobin when I get sent to the dog house now I'll have a much better place in the backyard to go to!

Send Priarehammer a PM and tell him to let you on.

Hey Jay It's not you trying to get into Canada! It's just Puc trying to get on Facebook.

Hey Don Easy Peasy.....filled in the forms payed my duty. Cause it turned out I was away 5 days as I had to wait for their office hours to declare the trailer on Monday and stayed down the extra day. It meant I could spend a higher amount out of the country because I was gone that long. So the duty was only $56. They didn't even come outside to look at it. I'm sure they saw it on all their security cameras and figured it wasn't big enough to bother going out to look at. Got to love the lazy bureaucratic mindset.

OK I tried to sit down and use simple Physics and work out,is it possible that someone can out talk, with a ">" value then Saddlebum or not?........ Which should result in a " Quantum Physics proves that it is not possible and the best you could hope for is possibly a draw "> Sorry, Ben you can't argue with science......Oh! Wait.....this also proves you would keep talking to argue the point other wise! Love you Buddy! And seriously, Thanks so MUCH for doing all that work on my trailer lights!

So what did they miss in their search this time? Last time it was your speed loader......wasn't it?! You had better luck then the guy next to me at the boarder. I had to go off to the side to get the new to me trailer imported. When I was done and came back out there was a car parked next to me with 3 boarder/custom guys pulling everything apart. One of the boarder guys pulls a gym-bag out of the trunk and says to the guy from the car what's in here? I hear the guy say "I told you I have money!" I notice he spoke with a pretty heavy accent. They say to him, how much do you have and the guy answers, $9,000. I thought well this sounds interesting so I take my sweet time getting ready to pull out and listen & watch. The boarder guy opens the bag on the ground behind the car and it's just full of bundles of money. He says to the guy, this looks like a lot more than $9,000. The dude from the car say, "Well yes it maybe more. I think maybe, it maybe more than $19,000. (I'm thinking 3 maybe's in one sentience, this guy is toast!) The boarder guy with the bag says $19,000? you told me $9,000? Which is it? There is a bit of an argument back and forth about whether or not the guy said $9,000 or $19,000 in the first place cause that is what the guy is trying to say he said. The boarder officer say well we will just go inside and count it. The guy from the car starts to loose his mind yelling he does not speak English good and he no know how to say 9,000 or 19,000. But then he says he doesn't know how much is in the bag, in English, it could be more!? He does not speak English money. They are just trying to get him cause he does not speak English and take his money. Well two of the boarder guys get ahold of him and grab his bag taking him off to go inside, telling him that they are just going to go inside and count his money. From my job dealing with proceeds of crime and drug money all the time. I would say from the size of the bag and the bundles of money I could see, that guy is going to be out $40 - $50 thousand! Welcome to Canada!

The Tooch has landed rubber side up and no slide'n! Home safe and sound. (Now this could be my problem?! RUBBER SIDE DOWN!) Got the new to me trailer across the boarder no problem and the duty on it was only 56 bucks! Thanks Steamer & RockinRobin you lived through a never ending saga over that trailer and I am truly thankful for your friendship and consideration. Big thanks to Bongobob & Becky who took me into their home the extra night I had to stay. They made me feel a part of their cat family! Bongo is a gourmet breakfast chef! Who knew?! As everyone else has said.....Just a great time! Thank you BigTom and the WNY gang......AWESOME!

My guess was.......when I was driving your hack I couldn't avoid one of those old bikers that were all just standing around and I must of ran one over. And that his bandana was left hung up on the front of the hack. (And a special shout out to that photographer!)

Hey Ben and I let you wire my trailer lights before you left???!!! Oh! crap!!!..... Glad you made it save and sound. Did you ride in the cab of that tow truck? Did that poor guy have to listen to you all the way to your place??!!

I'm going to head out now.......by the time I get down south of the boarder the weather should have passed by. Real nice here in Barrie now after heavy rain most of the day. Checked the weather radar down at the rally they should be getting it right now but will be done by the time I get down in the area. Don I'll have to pit stop at Casablanca on the way down, I'll check and see if your at the Motel when I get there, to say hi. See everybody there.....safe travels!
-
Geez Evan When it rains it pours sometimes and here we are watching the weather! Here's hopeing all is well with your Mom and nothing serious from her fall. Looking forward to seeing you there.........
-
Evan if you go in to replace it........IT WAS LOST!........You left point "A" it was there you got to point "B" it was gone. "NO CHANCE" it was stolen......cause that would be a PIA for you they'd make you go report it to Police, get a police report number and then come back. So nope not a chance it was stolen, HAD TO have fallen off somewhere while I was riding!? Actually it depend on the office you go into, some of them can be goofs about it. Well if you don't know the last time you saw it and where it is now, it could be stolen just as much as lost!........Just an FYI.
