Weather's looking good!! Need body count by Friday AM if possible. I'll have Bubba burgers, tube steaks and chicken breasts, along with potato salad from store and 4 bean salad, and chips or some other munchies. We can take a short ice cream ride in the afternoon...

Big Tom, are you coming now that I mentioned ice cream???:confused24:

Slight chance of showers but only slight. Will keep an eye on the forecast as we get closer to the weekend.

Nancy and I will be there !!!

DonMc, Chabicheka, and Wizard765 all indicated they are interested but I'll let them confirm.

If DonMc and Chabicheka are going, we'll meet at QEW/Casablanca in Grimsby. Figure if we leave there around 9:30. That should give us time to cross the border and be in Chaffee for noon. (Mapquest puts it at 1hr 45m from Grimsby).

Wayne - if you are able to come, we could swing thru Caledonia and go to Grimsby from there.

I see the invitation to join in on a days ride on June 22nd. Since I am new to the group and live just west of Georgetown ON I/we The {wife and I} would be interested in joining the ride. Border crossing is no problem. Is this a mixed group {male female}

Any idea of a timetable?

It appears that the group are from all over southern Ontario. Maat at QEW and 403 or somewhere along the QEW?

Don Mc

I don't know about a mixed group ... But it sure is a mixed up group :rotfl::rotfl:

Well if I can remember where all this info is, then maybe someday we'll see each other, you just never know.

For everyone else's reference... DonMc is near Halton Hills.

The Timmies referred to is the one at the Service Centre.

I'll PM those that showed interest but haven't responded in the last couple days.

For those that don't know where Chaffee is, see http://mapq.st/17WTBLS

Not to jinx things but weather for Saturday is looking good.

Make that 11 other people. Limehouse is one of my favourite places to ride through along with Alton. Edited by saddlebum

Current forecast for Saturday from weathernetwork.com ...

Grimsby - light rain, 23C (Accuweather says possible thunderstorm and 27C)

Niagara Falls, ON - light rain, 22C (Accuweather says SUNNY and 29C)

Fort Erie, ON - light rain, 23

Same weather.ca site....

Niagara Falls, NY - MAINLY SUNNY, 29C

Buffalo, NY - SUNNY, 29C

Arcade, NY -Sunny, 29C

Aren't the two Niagara Falls cities directly across the border from each other??? Isn't Fort Erie just a few miles across the border from Buffalo ?

Should have become a meteorologist.... can be wrong all the time and still get paid.

This is what I have so far for people coming from Ontario :

Chabicheka/Abdul (Toronto)

DonMc/Don and wife/Marilyn (Limehouse/Halton Hills area)

DarkHorse9825/Ian and wife (London)

Wizard765/Wayne and wife/Robin (Caledonia)

me - XV1100SE/Don and wife/Nancy (Kitchener)

Please confirm that you are still available to come on Saturday June 22nd.

My understanding is that DonMc is okay with starting the trip from Caledonia... DarkHorse9825 is coming from London....so...how about if we meet in Caledonia at the Tim Horton's plaza (Argyle St. N. and Orkney St. E.) and take the river to hwy 3 etc.. cross in Ft Erie. Chaffee is only 45 Minutes from Ft. Erie.

If anyone would prefer to meet in Brantford at the Service Centre at 403 and Garden Ave I could meet them there and then pick up others in Caledonia.

As for times.... leave 403/Garden Ave at 9am, leave Caledonia at 9:30am.

This would mean that we do NOT go to Casablanca in Grimsby unless someone lets me know that Casablanca is a must do stop.

I'll pm those on the list above to confirm who is going and if those times are okay with everyone. I don't mind making it an earlier start but for those coming from further away I was thinking the times I posted here would be easier.

Anyone else interested in coming for the ride and lunch served by Bob... let me know.

UPDATE :

This is what I have so far for people coming from Ontario :

Chabicheka/Abdul (Toronto)

DonMc/Don and wife/Marilyn (Limehouse/Halton Hills area)

Wizard765/Wayne and wife/Robin (Caledonia)

Us- XV1100SE/Don and wife/Nancy (Kitchener)

We'll meet in Caledonia at the Tim Horton's as previously mentioned (actually in the plaza parking lot directly beside Tim's) at 9am and leave at 9:30am. That should put us in Chaffee around noon-12:30. We'll stop at Pioneer Motorsport (almost forgot that I have some parts to pick up) then be at Bob's around 1-1:15pm.

Wayne will lead the group to Ft Erie where we'll cross the border.

Weather forecast for SW Ontario is afternoon showers and for Chaffee area sunny with clouds and 29C.
