  4. I got an 09 RSV a couple months ago and I'm loving it. Need some suggestions though. I like the idea of keeping the audio functional, but I don't really like the huge antennae, can anyone point me to the right thing to buy to replace those with the stubby type I've seen on some bikes? Also, what is a good size for a cover? I know I could get out the tape measure, but if someone has a good recommendation, that would be great. Thanks in advance and I'm sure I'll be asking more questions soon
  5. Again, July 31st at or around 4pm. I can show up earlier for those who can't stay late!
  6. Sorry, I thought I posted where and when! Figured same as we usually go but forgot about people who haven't been before! (This is why I let others do planning) Coffee at Tim Hortons at 1084 Rest Acres Rd Paris Ontario. If comming 403 highway from West take 24 North turn-off, then I think 2 or 3 roundabouts and Tim's is on left side in plaza. East bound 403 take 24 North turn off go 2 roundabouts and is on left side in plaza. Ice-cream will be at Paris Twisted Treats 98 Scott Ave. It is in North end of Paris. Can find these spots on Google Maps also!
  7. I am good for the 31st. Now to save me the trouble of having to do a country wide search. How about a hint as to were to go. Polite places only please. It will be great to see everyone specially those that have been in hiding for some time.
  8. If the wife and I fit on a wing we would have had one years ago. Congrats on the new ride.
  9. Can you trade back iffin it doesn't fit you?
  10. Yesterday
  11. Nice scoot. May you have thousands of fun miles with it. I am also keeping my RSV till the end. We started together from the very beginning and it is just appropriate to enjoy the RSV to the max. I'll be checking out whatever accessories might interest me in the for sale sections.
  12. Hard to beat the newer Goldwings. I'm hanging onto my RSV until the bitter end....Even if I get a Can Am, I'll still keep the RSV for solo riding. I'm sure you'll enjoy your new scoot. Ride safe.
  13. So where is this going to be held Phil?
  14. You. You. Traitor. Well, I guess you can park it beside my Road Glide.
  15. I have a Clymer shop manual, a LED bulb that I never got around to installing and a Carb vacuum sync tool, almost new. All reasonable offers accepted....shipping if required is on your dime.
  16. Well I traded in the RSV on a used 1800 Goldwing. so now Rooster has a new perch. As a result I have some RSV related stuff to sell which I am listing in the appropriate section. All reasonable offers accepted.
  17. Ben (saddlebum) also good to hear from you also!
  18. Good to hear from you Evan, how are you and Anne doing? Sorry to hear about the Ventures! Would also like to meet up again! This meet is for the 31st, which is supposed to be good weather wise! If distance is a factor we could check with Ben (saddlebum)afterwards to maybe meet around his place later as wife (Phantom Wife) doesn't want me in traffic where you live!
  19. As of this friday I will be on holidays until Aug 19th. Doing the staycation vacation, so barring a few projects I am pretty flexible for a change.
  20. Hi Phil.. Been too long. Not sure if you are still thinking of a Wed (tomorrow) or another date this week, but I would sure like to re-connect if possible. Unfortunately, I no longer have either of my Ventures.
  21. Last week
  22. It is a different animal for sure! But you can squirm around and change positions without tipping over. Stretch out and put your feet on the front fenders, play with all the electronic gizmos the RSV doesn’t have etc!
  23. What I've found out.... Clutch - Side Stand - Neutral Safety interlock system has MULTIPLE intermittent faults in the wire harness. Figured the bike is 25yrs old and trying to find wiring faults in tight confines is probably causing me to break more contacts than I'm fixing. I ended up bypassing the the safety system and the bike is working fine. My other MC does not have any of the safety interlocks, so I'm already accustomed to checking for neutral before I turn the bike on. Not necessarily helpful to anyone else, but at least a resolution.
  24. Yep, there are handle bars, a seat under your but, throttle to twist, air in your face, invisible on the road and an eye to the sky or rain clouds. The rest is different. The lean is different, steering is different, cornering has a learning curve, wind can come from your back and make the flags fly forward,,,, but once learned you'll be surprised at the wonderment of it all.
  25. The wife and I rode to lunch after church yesterday afternoon. DANM, IT WAS HOT!!!! We got about 100 miles in before we found the shortest way home and put it up. It was a fun ride, but very different than a bike and was even different from the Venture Trike I had. I will get used to it and am looking forward to our first long trip. Probably to the Northeast so I can ride in the 7 states I haven't ridden yet. 😁
  26. Thanks for sharing your pics.
  27. Good guy for sure, our thoughts and prayers go out to all the friends and family.
  28. Glad you made the trip and got back safely. It's a once in a lifetime experience at your age. Thanks for sharing.
  29. B2Dad had a heart of gold, he will be missed.
