  1. Past hour
  2. I run tires in the 70 to 90 dollar range and am satified.
  3. How will the G-force hold up if you have a flat???? Will it stand without air till you can get it fixed??? Have you let air out while standing to see if it holds up.
  4. I got 40k on a front shinko. great tire
  5. I have worn dunlaps out at 4500 miles and regulat bike tires out around 8 to 10k. I got 40k out of a shinko on my front, took it off because started to get a little wobble in handle bars, still had good tread. Put on another shinko, great tire in my opnion.
  6. I have been lookking for a run flat for my 2002 RSV, size 165x80x15, but can not find one. I would love to try one if I can find one.
  7. I used a Federal 674 from walmart and got 25k, then put on nexen and had flat at 16k and tire still looked like new, It has hole on edge of side wall, when I pluged it, it made a bludge in side wall. Will not trust it, will put new tire on. I just put on a Peltas tire that I ordered. Have not ridden it yet.
  8. Today
  9. Did ride the '06 double dark. I'm not double dark on the 2018 either. On it I still run the factory model. 45K miles and only 3rd front. Which I don't mind the mileage on the front. The back was killing me. I did the factory model as the second tire on the back and only go 5100 miles before having to replace it. Complained to the shop and they agreed to prorate the 3rd with a factory model and got 6000 miles on it. That's wen I pulled the trigger on the g-force. BTW: I believe the G-Force has a run flat that some use on the 2018 and newer.
  10. Got back home last Friday from Sturgis Motorcycle Rally on the bike. 970 miles in two days!!,and yesterday afternoon I was rotating tires on the car and checking tire pressures. I thought “why don’t I do all the vehicles as long as I have everything out?” So I crawled under the right saddlebag to check the rear tire and found the muffler hanging down. I had lost the rear mounting bolt and rubber isolator. So I dig around in my treasures and come up with a suitable replacement and voila!, she is up and running again!
  11. Voltage reg is common on the second gens. Stater or stater connections are also worth checking.

    Vogel 2025

Anybody heading down today beware of flooding in the Chattanooga area if that’s your route.
  13. We’re pulling out this morning to head down there.
  14. Right now I’m running a Shinko front. The fronts last long enough I haven’t gone double dark.
  15. what tire do you darksiders run on the front then?
  16. I’m headed to the Vogel rally today, mountain twisties darkside annually. Turning isn’t an issue.
  17. Additionally, I thought there was a little more counter steer when I first went dark but that feeling dissipated quickly. I 100% notice better stopping and better handling in wet weather. There was no difference in cornering traction. Tires have lasted 20 -30 K miles compared to 5 - 8 K with MC tires.
  18. On the '06 I ran a Nexan. on the '18 I run a g-Force 2 205/55/16
  19. +1 on the Nexen. Easiest tire change I've ever done and great ride/performance.
  20. Yep Nexen is what I use. Look under the forums tab and scroll down to darksiders.
  21. Yesterday
  22. Lisa and I will be heading down Thursday morning.
  23. The carb tuner is sold.
  24. I haven’t but know that some members have. Hopefully one of them will see this and help. I don’t know why but Nexxen comes to mind.
  25. Has anybody on here use a car tire on their venture? If so, what are your experiences and tires your use, and how many miles do you get and do you feel any different in handling? Thank You in advance.
  26. Does anyone have the mounting instructions for the Clarion DC 625 CD Changer? I have this kit with these three Yamaha part numbers for my 2009 RSV. Cable was in the bike when it was new. Its working fine but It appears to only mount on the Saddle bag hinge with one bolt. Seems to be really heavy for one bolt. I see some have put it in the trunk. I do not know if the cable will make it into the trunk or if I want it there. It works where it is in the bag but I was wondering if that was where Yamaha installed it and what others have done. I bought this brand new in the box and as I said it works great so far. I am enjoying listening to old CD's from my past. Basically 6 hours of music to fill in the gaps where I can't pick up the FM channels, We only have a few with large gaps in between a the Bike Radio does not do as well as the Vehicle but even that has gaps. Was looking at the Marshall Mod for the antenna's and wondering if that works to improve reception. But that would be another thread. I have Numbers STR-4XY89-81 mounting bracket STR-4XY89-83 damper And STR-CDCHG-10-01
