Didn't make the ride to Port Dover on Friday the 13th like I wanted to a took Phantom to doctor appointment then by the time we got home it started to SNOW again! with in an hour we had several in's on the ground! It snowed really hard for several hours till I could finally get out to plow it! Still snowing off and on since then! Now will have to try and make the last one this year in November I guess! Trying to get things moved around in garage so can get bike on bike table to get a few things checked! Mostly would like to get Stator and Voltage Regulator checked! Have been looking up U-Tube and information on the site to see what is involved!

Just changed my Paypal auto pay to this site. Thank you once again Don. I am just curious as to how many members do we actually have for VentureRider.

Good morning to all. Just got the chance to sit in the shack. My typical honey to do list is to vacuum and organize my own mess per my wife. So I did that...now I can enjoy a few hours on the computer and play radio. Got called in today to 'work' this afternoon, so there goes the rest of my Sunday. Not riding and we are expecting bad weather later today. Have a great Sunday all!

Thanks Don, I joined 10 years ago back in 2016 after buying my first bike, an 08 Venture in the fall of 2015, over the years I have gleaned boat loads of useful information to help me with my ride which is still that first Venture.

I am sure there are a few shooters here, anyone shooting Walther 9mms
luvmy40 replied to M61A1MECH's topic in Watering Hole
My EDC is the Walther PPS and my bed side pistol is the Walther PPX. Both are extremely accurate, reliable and comfortable to shoot. I have also owned several P1s and PPKs over the years. IMHO, Walther does not make a "bad" hand gun. -
I think the same way and I know it cost you to keep it going, so I'll just leave it as is.

Freebird replied to M61A1MECH's topic in Watering Hole
I like to shoot but have no Walter’s. I have a GP100 Ruget 357 revolver, a .45 Kimber, and my latest that I haven’t even shot yet is a Kimber CDS 9. I have some others too but these are my favorites. Oh, Sig 365 is my regular carry when I do carry. -
I started shooting hand guns just about a year ago and on the suggestion from our good friend Barrycuda, I tried out the Walther line and found they fit me well and work very well. Currently I have 3 all in 9mm, a PPQ, a PDF-F model and a CCP I also picked up a CZ P 10 ported barrel along the way. I would be interested to here from others that are shooting the same or similar Walthers.

Don, This site has been a huge source of information, guidance, and motivation for me ever since I purchased my 85 Venture Royale. All of my interactions with other members have felt like conversations over the fence with a neighbour. You created an amazing site that fosters the feeling of community. I applaud you for that. If it's all the same to you I'll let PayPal do it's thing until that day comes when I see "404 Page Not Found" Until then....THANK YOU!

We appreciate all you've done for us and this site for over 20 years now.

valve cover gasket leaking oil on back left side
InfinitySurf replied to maddog2498's topic in General Tech Talk
I replaced mine last winter for the same reason & tightening didn't do anything on mine. I added some RTV at the half circles when I replaced them and its been perfect since. Replacing the gaskets is fairly easy, its just tight working in that area. What got me was figuring since I was doing that, I might as well check the valve adjustments, then I was like what the hell, might as well replace the twinkie gaskets & rebuild the carbs... which let to Ivan's jet kit & figuring out how to re-set my float heights. Then while waiting for some parts I tore off the swingarm to re-pack the all the bearings which lead to re-packing the wheel bearings too, lol. Ended up having it stripped down & tinkering with it for over a month. I enjoy wrenching tho so I was looking for excuses to be in the garage. Upside is the bike has never run better and its nice not to have oil dripping down the back of the engine! -
