  1. When screwing in the Carb Bowl screw how far does one tighten. Just when you feel the spring tention, or all the way in until it stops or somewhere inbetween? From the center of the diaphram cover one goes straight down and the screw is in a long tunnel.
  2. For_Paws and myself would thank you very much for taking the short cut when we crossed into Canada .We really enjoyed the ride into the tunnel that was wild and loud Man the Bub pipes on BradT scoot was FREAKING LOUD
  3. Been in touch with Starfan....For the newer members...he is a member from Iceland who traveled here to the states last year to ride with the NY gang to Freebirds maintenance day and stayed and visited a few of our members in NY, Penn., and Ohio...what a wonderful GENTLEMAN to get to know (and yes, he keeps a bike here in the US to ride)...He still refers to my guest room as HIS room...lol..well..........TATERS and I have been talking to Starfan and after numerous invatations from him , have decided to plan a trip in 2011 to go to Iceland and visit Jonas.... Where else but right here can you make friends like this...Jonas has been working in Norway since he returned home and will be there for at least one more year.....he doesn't make it home very often and tells me how he misses his family...Comunication is difficult as he is up in the mountains and doesnt get off the mountain that often....he is boring and building a tunnel thru it....He tells me Norway would be a wonderful place to ride with all the twisties .....He tries to pop on the site as often as he can ...Says he misses everyone and wants to wish everyone a happy holiday....he will be comming home for Christmas.......he also can't see comming to MD this year as he wants to finish his tunnel...He did promise to bring his wife to NEW YORK CITY along with his sons this year...Hope we can hook up then.........BLACK DEATH ANYONE???????
  4. Ok everyone up north, certainly not trying to rub it in. Just wish you could have been with us today. Rider Duke, myself and our SCRC group went for about 350 miles today and walked through the Paw Paw Tunnel in Maryland. Good ride and great roads in that area. Just hard to think that they dug a tunnel 3118 feet long around 1850 and it's still in good shape. Even saw a few bats in the tunnel. I hope everyone had a chance to ride today somewhere and here's wishing for warmer temps and no snow to everyone up north. Have a good week everyone. Spotsy
  5. I know this should be listed in the for sale section. But I want to get this out there. Long story short. My bike ran out of gas in the Tip O'neil Tunnel here in MA. After a little more than half an hour a state trooper and flat bed came along. Unfortunately the driver of the flat bed did not tie down the bike correctly. After leaving the tunnel and pulling into the state police barracks parking lot (it is close to the tunnel) the bike tipped over. The right side of the fairing, along with associated parts got wrecked. Luckily the bike has crash guards. The damage is mostly cosmetic. I simply don't have the time or money to put into getting the bike back into shape. I did file with the state and they totaled the bike. I got what I paid for the bike. Sadly it will cost more to repair the bike. Also I lack storage space. To to it off I am fixing up my house to sell. I simply got lots going on now. The engine runs strong and has lots of life left in her. I road her back and forth to work most every day. From Attleboro to Cambridge and Waltham. I hate to let her go, or part her out. but right now it's the best thing I can do. I can't find the title, so I am going to fill out the paperwork to get a new one. But if you are looking for parts that would not be a problem. I have posted some of the work I had done. Along with pictures (She don't look quite the same now). Link to pictures - [/url]http://necrotechandbytch.com/~dusk/venture/ Some of the work that has been done. All four carbs were rebuilt. Replaced the linkage too. Complete tuneup. Wires plugs etc. Rebuilt the forks. Replaced gear shifter. New head gaskets. Replaced the exhaust collector. Replaced that star washer and associated parts. New tires. Metzler New stereo and speakers. Added extra lights. And much more. The bike is at my mechanic. You can call him and ask about the bike. He did all the work. 6. Well i made it to georgia but new GPS not too good. First about 20 miles from home it detoured me thru school yard and back to main road. I kind of thought this might be wrong. Next just as i entered the first Tunnel on the West Virginia Turnpike it said "Turn Left and then Turn Left" Now I'm not real sure on this yet but as you are entering a tunnel it might not be the smartest thing you ever did to make two left turns.....
