  1. A friend sent me this link showing the riding skills of the team of instructors at the Delta Technical Centre in Kyoto Japan. Incredible. The recording is several years old. There is another video of them performing this routine in the rain!!! Even more incredible!! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gs2RnbvHSuU]デルタテクニカルセンター パレード - YouTube[/ame] Andy
  2. Got to ride my cousins RT yesterday. I must say I was quite impressed. I'm far from obtaining another ride as yet, but I'm always thinking and scheming for something else. His was not equipped with a trailer. Even Patricia was excited about the ride. http://www.motorcycle.com/images/content/Review/3spyder0901.jpg Maybe next year if I can get things turned around. Been having real problems with the knees (chondromalacia) as of late. Have had the problem for some 20 years, but I was trying to get back into some exercise routine and have really irritated both knees, particularly the left.
  3. Just got a call from Jeff he's in Kandahar. He's not gonna work on the 60's though he said he'll be working on Apache's. He's staying in temp housing which is a big tent with a bunch of other guys till he gets his permanent set up. Also his tools haven't gotten there yet. Not sure where they are. But he's gotten to where he's suppose to be. So now he can get into a routine. Hopefully that will make time go faster for him. It's gotta be better then sitting around waiting. Especially for him he gets bored so easily. Margaret
  4. this routine realy sucks, with a bad wheel, takes 5 min to get the leg to start working up 5-6 am,put the dogs out, feed them, make coffee, turn the lap top no,take the pills, dogs back in,laying under my feet, reading all these post,s,put closes on, limp to the barn, take a break, forgot sumething back to the house, turn on the cell ph,to the barn taKe a break, now turn the fan on,make a jug of tea,for latter, hunt for the tools i left out, take a break, forgot what i was going to do,start the bikes, let run till the heat gage moves, need to hall off trash, been putting that off for 6 mo.so guess no big hurry, wheel is a little better,by now, take meny breaks the rest of the day. going back to the doc mon, maybe find out what is causing this, can't realy swing my leg on the bike, feel like a old chapper rider, that don't want to give up riding GUESS I AM DOING AS GOOD AS CAN BE EXSPECTED,AND WITH WHAT I HAVE TO WORK WITH,70,OOO MLS ON THIS OLD BODY lowell
  5. Hi everyone. Just thought I'd say hola from Mazatlan. We have been here since last Wednesday and aren't going back to Indiana until Saturday. Needless to say, I should get a bit of color in this pasty white skin! Having the bike down here would have been cool as heck. Now you have to get used to the way folks drive, but I believe they aren't too bad. They aren't distracted by cell phones and such. Well back to the beach. It's a routine. Lay around in the sun, read a book, drink alot of water then on to the stronger stuff. Rinse, repeat.... See ya soon! 6. There's a couple of guys on the other Venture website that are reporting some pretty decent mileage on their '99 RSV's. One guy has 192,000 on the odo, another has 155,000, and still another just turned 120,000, all with no major work done on the bikes to date other than routine maintenance. Man, I think that's quite a testament to these bikes. Anyone else here sporting that type of mileage. I may be riding this baby for quite a long time.
