  1. Started right up this afternoon. Not sure why. Not sure if it will continually start up, or if this was a one-time thing. If I can't get it to start on the first shot, maybe I'll continue to have this issue. I'll update later.
  2. You could use some ABS plastic, thin rubber stripping and a hinge. Get an oversized Rubbermaid container to fit below. Use some galvanized plumbers' tape to mount it in the hole with some nuts/bolts through the edge of the hole. Use silicone to seal them. Should be a $10 project. Maybe not the cleanest look, but that depends on how OEM you want it to look. Or an enclosure like this: http://www.westfloridacomponents.com/HW204/Electronics+Enclosure+Plastic+Project+Box+with+Tabs+7.31%22+x+3.75%22+x+2.08.html
  3. This one has 4.5 stars and the most reviews: [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Warranty-10000mAh-External-Battery-Charger/dp/B005NGKR54/ref=dp_cp_ob_e_title_3]Amazon.com: [18 Months Warranty] Anker® Astro3 10000mAh Dual 2A USB Output External Battery Backup and Charger for iPhone 4 4S 3GS 3G, iPod, iPad (1-3); Most Android Phones: Samsung Galaxy S S2 S3 / HTC One X One S Sensation EVO / Motorola Droid / LG Optimus / Nokia N9 Lumia; Cameras: GoPro - [Charge Tablets, Digital Cameras, DV Recorders, PSP, Nintendo DS / DS Lite with 9V / 12V Optional Voltage]: Cell Phones & Accessories@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41IMehe5k6L.@@AMEPARAM@@41IMehe5k6L[/ame] Half the price, 4 stars, and half the reviews: [ame=http://www.amazon.com/External-Universal-Charging-Smartphones-E-readers/dp/B004GVIZC4/ref=dp_cp_ob_e_title_0]Amazon.com: ReVIVE Series Solar ReStore External Battery Pack with Universal USB Charging Port for Portable Smartphones / E-readers / MP3 Players & More USB Powered Devices: Cell Phones & Accessories@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41IUno-JtTL.@@AMEPARAM@@41IUno-JtTL[/ame]
  4. Tried this morning, started up initially, then just cranked and nothing. Put some sea foam in, I have 4 cans sitting around. Won't need it in my Celica, just rebuilt the engine, and all my old junk is gone. Just have this. Update: I let it sit and charge, and it seemed to start a little. Could the filter be clogged? And where is it located?
  5. Ground issue? Maybe get a ground loop isolator. Or try a Lenmar battery backup. That way it's off the charging system.
  6. The piece the cap plugs into was cracked. Put packing tape on it, that works. Turns over, just won't start, like fuel isn't getting to the engine.
  7. An amp with a line-level input would be best if you're wanting to keep the factory stereo. That way you just cut the lines to the speakers, run those to the input, and wire out to the speakers. Then run power, and a remote turn-on.
  8. I wouldn't use Pyle. Although, it won't be a big deal for what the install is. However, there are higher-quality solutions for replacements that are still inexpensive.
  9. I have some CRC Electronic cleaner. And luckily I haven't lost the spring. I'll take a look later. I was having issues getting it back together before.
  10. I have to adjust the cable until I hear the relay click, then I can start it. Sometimes it will even have issues immediately if it dies suddenly after starting. I have to go back and do it again. I was having issues getting it started the other day. Not sure if I couldn't hear the click since the battery was low, maybe not enough voltage for the relay. Hoping that's the only issue. But I would like to ride it again. Planning on taking the trip down to Yellowstone before I move. Pretty much the whole reason I bought it, plus I only paid $1000.
  11. I'd personally leave the radio alone, then get one of these amps. Cut the power cable, or steal one off an old power supply, wire it into a switch, or accessory so it doesn't stay on and kill the battery. Cut the speaker cables and run them into this. It has an RCA and 1/8" jack on the back. I haven't used this one, but it looks like a nice little one from Parts Express. Looks nicer than the Mitzu, anyway. 12. Hopefully not too late. If just for the iPhone, you could get an amp and run it to power and then to the speakers. That would be under $50, likely, for a low wattage 2-channel amp. Actually, this would work great for $21, I may look into one. 13. The guy I bought my bike from had a tape adapter in the cassette deck. Works well with the iPod. I may, however, replace the tape deck with an amplifier and just run my iPod into the amp input, no more static. I have a few amps laying around. At least four.
  14. I order most of my stereo equipment from www.SonicElectronix.com, or Amazon. I'm not sure what exactly to look for in speakers to use outdoors, other than maybe marine speakers. If any speakers, other than paper coned ones will be fine, these are a cool option with the skull tweeter surround and light-up eyes. I'd like to do some modifications and make this thing look cool. I've thought about taking a spare m/c battery and wiring up the front speakers and adding a small sub to a 3-channel amp, then just running an iPod to the input. Use a cutoff switch to the secondary battery so I don't drain the primary when running the secondary. Otherwise get a Kinetic battery or some upgraded battery to run that could hold more power. Any input on that?
