Someday soon, I want to ride alone or along with someone who is courageous. I just rode to Dallas tx from North Mississippi, 606 miles. Then turned around 2 days later and rode back. I think I can make 1000 miles in one day. U c, I am a professional truck driver, so long days aren't a stranger to me. As long as you have a good water source you can really do well on a bike. You must have a cooler for water and gatorade on board. Hydration is the key,along with a good pain killer for the butt and legs. Lets do it someone. However lets dont do it in the heat. Maybe April next year, or october this fall.

Bonnie and I want to say thank you B2Mom and B2Dad for the great party. We used to go to meetings with GoldWing riders. We are happy to say that meeting new friends Venture Riders is just as awesome as Wingers. It was a great turnout and a great fundraiser for St Judes. Looking forward to seeing everyone again at next years meetings and future gatherings thruout the year. Happy Trails everyone.

Almost out of Warranty - anything I should have checked?

Be sure to check on head bolt recall. Your cylinders could start leaking oil and or coolant, due to head bolts vibrating loose. Mine are being replaced under warranty. Anything on the bike is covered under warranty until unit is 5 years old. Dont let dealer b/s you. You can also get an extended warranty that will cover anything original does, as long as you get warranty before original warranty runs out. Prices are 3, 4 or 5 years 695, 795, and 895 respectively and are not unreasonable when consider price of engine replacement. Good Luck. -

Tom, I noticed a member had a nice diamond plate steel trailer for sale for $600.00 a couple days ago. I think she called herself RSVAngel. I bought one 2 wks ago in Atlanta, and it pulls well, is lightweight and very roomy. Locks too! mag wheels and all only gave $1100.00 for mine. Its a 4 ft diamond plate steel toolbox, with LED's everywhere. Good luck.

Hey folks, just joined the program. Am so excited. My wife and I drive a truck for a living so we really enjoy our bike when we get out of the truck. Seems strange to some that we hop on our bike after 4, 7,000 mile wks in a truck.But its how we unwind. What can I say? We would love to attend some rallies this year. Hopefully we can. Taking off in May, Mothers Day wknd, for a few days. Will be looking for somewhere to ride. Hope that Heart of Texas ride goes well for ya. Be safe and Happy Trails!
