I told you you needed to start a new thread Glad I wasn't the only one who hadn't noticed the directional arrow on the wheel. I wonder if the rear wheel has a arrow also:stirthepot:
I have just been here 2 years now and just starting to learn my way around. I don't want to start all over again. Now some may say the change wouldn't be that much or hard to learn. So I would ask then why change? If it is just to keep up with some Harley riders then you better go ahead and get the T- Shirt to match.
If your making your connections under the seat using the convertor in your pic it should be.
convertor/ bike
white to ground
brown to blue for tail lights
yellow to brown for left trn
red to yellow for brake
green to green for right turn
I would highly recommend you get one of Steve's wiring harnesses before cutting into the wiring under the seat.
for some reason this didn't post in the way I typed it sry but left column is convertor and right side is bike colors for wiring under the seat.
I think I would start a new thread. Looks like your having trouble getting your point across that it is THE RIM THAT IS BACKWARDS. I don't see how they managed to get both arrows the tire and the rim lined up together. I mount my own tires and I had to go check mine to see if I had done the same thing. But I got lucky I guess and have mine on with both going the same direction.
From your pic It's obvious the tire is going oneway and the rim the other never noticed the rim had a directional arrow. In answer to your question I just don't know but you have me curious.
There were better ones but this a pg site so I refrained from posting.
By the way Ground Hugger where did you get your avatar pic looks cool just to small to see.
I' would like to hear the version of why the RLP technique for slow turns does work which it obviously does. If what I'm reading and understanding from your statement Lil Beaver it can not work. But I'm confused already so I will stick with the old adage.
If it aint broke don't fix it.
Something I noticed another biker doing and I'm probably Guilty of it to is sitting at a light or stop sign with no brake lights on. I try to make a habit of keeping my fingers on the front brake weather I need them or not when stopped.
You may also Look at a ACE Hardware for a replacement bolt. I looked all over Texarkana For metric bolts for another project and found the best selection @ ACE they even have them in Chrome.
I worked as a Do-nut baker before school and through the summer back in the day. The owners told me when they hired me I could eat all I wanted. I don't think they ever imagined what I could put away. I quickly earned the name Hungry Jack.
So as a connoisseur of Do- nut's I don't see how a 2 pounder could possibly be any good. But if it is I'm your Huckleberry.
Just remember to tighten the drive shaft side first. Then set the preload on the right side and then tighten the nut to lock it in place. That should eliminate the side to side play.
From your video that looked pretty normal. I would look closely for any pitting or wear marks on the bearing and race. If there clean I would have no problem re using them. When you re torque the bearings to set end play the slack on your video would be taken care of.
Didn't mean any offense to well trained city LEO's I was referring to some of our locals and other small towns who will hire anyone who is willing to wear the badge without any certification. I failed to make that clear in my response to the post.
My apologies
