  1. I see the trooper declined comment Was really expecting it to be some local officer not a fully trained state trooper.
  2. I asked this question awhile back on a trike post. The reason I asked was that the Michelin Commander is available in stock size for the front of a 2nd gen venture but only as a rear tire. Since the stock front tire size is unavailable in a front tire I was curious if two rear tire's would work by reversing the front tire. :goodpost::goodpost:
  3. If they indeed will fit in the fake fin's you would have a unique set of knee blockers. It maybe that they will bolt in a position to have them just above the lower cowling effectively blocking the wind.
  4. They should have two bolt holes in the covers. Align them with two corresponding bolts on the carbs and remove those. Mine came with two longer bolts or two for each side and a spacer to replace the bolts removed from the carb.
  5. James you will have better luck trying to win and argument with the grandkids.
  6. Condolences to you and your Family Heather. I had never met your father but his grill was the first addition to my Bike and I will cherish it.
  7. Don't tell me the HD clothing store doesn't have tall sizes ! Oh my bad I forgot rain gear don't look kewl.

  10. If your bringing that thing to the M&E it better have a cassette deck. I have a short little road in mind to give that Miata a little test in the twisties. So tell me are you going to try a M/C tire on the back ? Be only fair since you had a C/T on the wing.
  11. who is Revzilla did we add a new vendor ? It shows up in the top right corner with the others. Never mind I read Don's thread on the helmets
  12. Are you sure someone hasn't installed leveling links ? According to the history page TD seat height is 29.1 & Venture 29.5
  13. Nice bikes I have seen this before but not sure why but your pictures show up in your albums over on the right side of your profile.
  14. She needs to go into politics Oops I forgot the HD guy was back.
  15. Not sure about the drum price Dan but it is usually cheaper by the gallon than the 2.5 gal jug or 5 gal bucket and a lot safer to handle than a big drum.
  16. The white jug 15w 40 for diesels is what I use. You have to look on the codes on the back and understand them to know that it is safe for our bikes. I have no plans to go back to anything else as far as oil goes and you just can't beat the price. But cheap is not why I use it in my bike and my big rig. I have seen how clean my engine is on the inside and thats over 300,000 since the last rebuild. If it will hold up under the conditions my truck goes through @10,000 mile oil changes it will certainly hold up for 3500 to 4000 mile oil changes in my bike. My clutch whine has been noticeably quieter since using it.
  17. The boss been in the apple pie again.:rotf::rotf: Pictures are worth a thousand words.:rotf::rotf:I thought this was a Rally not a Maintenance Day.:stirthepot::rotf::rotf:
  18. This is one thread that needs no pics because I refuse to look at them and be in the miserable shape you guys are in.
  19. If you don't want to wait a week give a call to John Fubar he can tell you exactly what is involved. http://rmsportmax.com/gateway.html Tell him your with Venturerider
  20. Make sure it's not overfilled. I have never had mine off or apart but A stopped up vent will cause the gear box to build up unwanted pressure and that pressure has got to go somewhere.
  21. Put the bike in neutral and insert a large allen wrench in the end of the shaft where spring fits and try wiggling Loose.
