Rick you are one lucky SOB. What ever Guardian Angels you were blessed with worked over time on this one. Best pray they keep up the good work. As far as the bike goes at the end of the day its just nuts and bolts. Also you may not be able to buy the bike back but maybe they will let you check it out to see what went wrong.

Yeh that has always been a sore spot with many Canucks. Problem is as long as there is a middle class there will be out of control government spending, and much of it for foolish whims. But once the middle class is gone/tapped out, who is going to support the country.

Just this week I was was going through a green light. there was a transport on my left nosed out, legally awaiting to make a left turn and a bus and a van going through the green light ahead of me when a car from the other direction shoots a left turn between me and the van ahead of me. I was forced to slam on the brakes and I swear there was barely room for a cigarette paper between us. Thankfully I was in my pickup truck but all I could think had I been on my MC the outcome would have been a whole lot nastier.

The 1st Gen is my favorite. Was almost going to buy a newer bike a couple years back but wife said only if I got rid of the 1st Gen. You know,,,, she one sneaky lady!!!! she knew I could not part with my 1st gen no matter how many bikes I bought. But yes I do believe they are the best all round bike out there and not too crazy for most joes to do their own work or find someone who can show them how.

Still worth the money. Picked up mine from ACME battery in Hamilton for $89.00 CA compared to $120.00 US and it is going into its 5th year and still going strong.

Not sure if this was mentioned but a very important consideration is that with that much weight and overhang behind the axle you run a big risk of the trailer whipping out of control from side to side. Having experienced this and being extremely fortunate to regain control after whipping back and forth across two lanes I can tell you first hand you never want to get caught in that situation because the odds of regaining control like I was lucky enough to do are extremely unlikely. Someone was definitely looking over my shoulder that day.

My buddies solution is to eat them. His mother would parboil the hind quarters then they would either roast or BBQ them. Never tried it myself but he insists done right they are good eatin. Oh dont grab them by hand, did that once got the bugger and tossed him in a cage but also got saliva in the eye (apperantly worse than a bite if it is rabid) and got a nice round of rabies shots. Apparently I am good for ten years now but when I asked for a tag like my dog gets they threatend me with more needles. FYI they dont give it to you in the stomach any more. I'll tell you I was re-leaved when I got to the hospital and found that out instead it is by body weight and they spread out by giving you so many in each shoulder and each hip. and you only have to go back six times instead of fourteen, in the stomach. over the years I have got lots of raccoons, skunks and opossums. Once got a skunk that I fed hard boiled eggs to for about four days before I had time to relocate him. by the third day I could feed him out of my hand. When I carried him into a wooded forest in the cage I had no issue and passing hikers were amazed. However when they wanted a closer look I would not allow it on chance that my little friend got scared and sprayed all of us.
