  1. Sorry to hear all about what you been going through. I certainly hope there are better days ahead for you.
  2. Reminds me of a dear Abby letter. Dear Abby; For months now I have been under the suspicion that my wife has been cheating on me. Whenever she works late or claims to be working she gets dropped of after work by a coworker. This so called coworker always drops her off down the street rather than at the house. So one day when she was supposed to be working late I decided to park my Harley out in the driveway. While hiding behind it so I could see who it was she was getting a ride home with, I noticed a bad oil leak. Should I try fixing this myself or should I send it to the dealer? On another note, noticing the Yamaha logo on the side car, was that just put there or is this an actual Yamaha side car?
  3. Not sure why hand controls would need to be lit. For safety reasons You should know were they are, so you don't take your eyes of the road. JMHO.
  4. Hey who you callin old, @Flyinfool any chance you swing that thing around and hit Brantford with that thing. @Marcarl insulted us.
  5. Have never been on face book and likely never will even my kids who are on face book say don't bother Dad when ever I consider it just so I can stay up with family stuff. I also agree in that I feel it has had a negative affect on this site, specially were pictures are concerned. It seems some members post pictures of club events on FB instead of on this site which is a little disappointing. You come home from an event, go on site to look at pics and instead you see (pics posted on FB) tis a tad disappointing.
  6. It was definitely a great turn out which really makes setting it up a great pleasure. I so enjoyed seeing everyone that turned out and missed the ones who could not make it. Even Wizard765 manged to wake up from his nap in time to make it this year. So thanks to everyone who managed to attend and looking forward to another season of riding and Meet and Greats.
  7. Dont worry about the cold. In my line of work its just another day.
  8. Sounds like a plan.
  9. I never said what kind of door it was. just that it was closed and keeping the Canadian snow in Canada.
  10. chabicheka If you come to burlington a couple hours early I can check out/load test your battery for you. If it fails we can pick up a new one and I can put it in for you.
  11. But don't take advice on the subject from Marcarl cuss he couldn't get it right either. That's why he got himself that three wheeled thingy.
  12. Why is nobody listening. I stated several times the door is closed, we canucks want a fun snow filled winter this year. Ive left it all up to @Flyinfool to look after the US side all on his lonesome this year.
  13. No worries @chabicheka I always have a fully charged heavy duty truck booster pack in the pickup as well as cables. Your in good hands.
  14. I normally use a trailer or drop the back wheels of the pickup into a ditch. I have run bikes up ramps and had no issue. Trouble with the guys in your video is some of them set there ramps ups with no real thought and failure is already predetermined. Walking along the bike is another predetermined disaster. Last don't hang your feet down if your going to ride it up the ramp and don't be overly cautious. Get your feet on the pegs and ride with the same determination and control you would up a slope. Feet on the pegs is the only way to properly maintain balance and control. and make sure your ramp is either long enough or curved to avoid bottoming out on the way up.As said earlier though a Ditch or low trailer is still my preferred
  15. How else am I supposed to get a standing applause when I walk in.
  16. I could be wrong and though I just naturally leave any vehicle in neutral when strapping it down, to me that makes no sense. If it was true than we should never ride on anything but perfectly smooth roads. My reason for leaving a vehicle in neutral when strapping it down is so the vehicle, natural settles during the tightening of the straps. Leaving the vehicle in gear while tightening the traps leaves the drive train under tension. If the vehicle shifts during transport causing this drive train tension to relax, the straps could become slack.
  17. Yeh me neither....thought I was the twinkle in her eye
  18. ok you win
  19. What do mean quicker. You got out of the gate early and you still fell in last place:rotfl:
  20. Look again Big Tom is in 1st, Saddlebum slips into 2nd followed by slow roll taking third, XV1100SE drops into last place. Sure Just when I trust Big Tom has secured the date and I sign on .... You Gotta stir things up
  21. In that case I signed up.
  22. As soon as the date is:backinmyday: locked in, Secured, Verified and triple stamp certified.....I will book my time off to be there.
  23. Just;: to update as well as to remind everyone. Reservations have been made for 6:30 Jan 6 2018 at Tucker's Market place in Burlington Ont. I have made reservations for 20 to cover any last minute quests but RSVPing on the Calander will be a big help in case I have to make adjustments.
  24. Well maybe if you had said something sooner I would have wondered back there to fix it but you waited tooooo long to complain and like Carl says its tooo darned cold to go out there and work on it now. But like I said in another thread if you remember (assuming that sometimers ain't kicked in again) We have accumulated a total average of 16 inches of snow over the past couple weeks, which has given us the 1st white Christmas in the last few years. Had I left the door open we would have had another green Christmas instead of the beautiful white Christmas we are currently having. Plus Marcarl is happier than he has been for a few seasons cause he just loves to play with them tractors and push snow around making snow mountains. Makes him feel like the kid he once was so many millenniums ago. On that note I rest my case. So your more than welcome go back there and to give it your best shot.:whistling:But I am sure you will bw wasting your time CUSS ITS CLOSED
  25. Ok I admit that the hinges may be a bit rusty, and the weather stripping may leak a little but the door was definitely closed. Lets face it your not getting half the supply I was sending you in previous years. Thats not to say I won't throgh the door wide open come Feb or March. Depends on when people up here have had enough.
