  1. Not an issue for these carbs. The float bowl 'gasket' is an O-ring style (cylindrical crossection rubber) that is fitted into a mating groove in the float bowl cover. EDIT: I posted this without refreshing the thread, only to see Razorback had already responded.
  2. "One of the earliest six cylinder motorcycles circa 1921 by the National Spanish Motorcycle Factory." "An unkown prototype from Spain - perhaps the first six cylinder motorcycle! The machine may have been built in 1921 by the National Spanish Motorcycle Factory in Baddalone" One source attributes this bike to Patria’s motorbikes , Badalona (Barcelona), 1922-1936
  3. Thanks, Bill. The '91 has 54,000 miles. When I bought my maroon '90 in 2002 it had 12,000 miles. Your '89 is a cherry! Take care of her and it will take care of you.
  4. The Silverhawk is a FOUR cylinder. Hard to figure that out from looking at it.
  5. Dig the gas tank/headlight.

  7. 1974 Honda CB750. Bought it new and still have it.
  8. I would have agreed with you, Jeff if you had asked me last year when I had the '90, but this year, I have the '91 and IT is the fastest color, now.
  9. It is a Chrysler Hemi. Appears to be based on the older Hemi, not the current Hemi. How fast would you WANT to go? In the video, the producer would have the viewer believe it will go 200 mph (according to the shot of the speedometer), but I don't know if that was actual or a contrivance for the video. His a native Brit. http://www.bikernettrikes.com/pages/frogmans_1000hp_trike_riding_the_rocket_ii.aspx http://blastoland.com/blastoland/FROG_HEMI_TRIKE_files/frog%27snewbaby1.jpg
  10. :rasberry:What?! You couldn't find my pic? Mine was a 1987, BTW.
  11. This is tricky (as hell yea is fond of saying.)

  13. When I bought my '90, everything seemed to work OK until I got down the road about a hundred miles from the seller and I discovered the clutch would not disengage. I bled it several times on the four hundred mile trip home, until it was working pretty good, as it should. My point: while bleeding the clutch is usually much easier than bleeding the brakes, sometimes it just doesn't go as well as it should. Before condemning the slave cylinder (how many miles/kilometers on the bike?) continue to suspect the bleeding process and also don't discount the possibility of a faulty master cylinder. The master cylinder is easy to renew and inexpensive. The slave...not so much.
  14. Jay, All those parts are good to replace when doing the slave cylinder on a Second Gen, but the OP has a First Gen and many of your stated parts, including the slave cylinder, are not compatible on the First Gen.
  15. That article is about a different Enigma project; a Triumph Speed Triple. The bike I posted is from PDQ Development (not Enigma) from the mid 1990's and is built around a Yamaha V-Max engine.
  16. From the factory, the 'mascot' (that's what Yamaha calls it ) on the front fender tip is attached via double-faced foam tape, such as 3M automotive trim tape. Go to your local body shop and scarf a few inches. Make sure you clean any old tape from the mascot and then clean the mascot and fender with rubbing alcohol before placing it on the fender.
  17. Pretty interesting to me. Where is the radiator? http://enigma1050.co.uk/index.php/technical/assembly-and-tuning/inside-pdq/ http://enigma1050.co.uk/index.php/technical/assembly-and-tuning/ http://enigma1050.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/BATTLEMAX1.jpg
  18. Some Italian designers thought this bike was "fat and bulbous", I don't.

  20. Incorrect on both counts. Not a BMW. Not a Porsche engine. Hint: a major motorcycle manufacturer's prototype. A form of it went into production.
  21. This might be a tough one.
  22. I've hacked into your computer. I can see what you are going to post.
