  1. After editing in Paint, save as a .jpg. On my computer, Paint defaults to a .png file. Paint will by default, name the edited pic 'Untitled.png'. But, one can change the name of the saved pic to anything one desires.
  2. Invented and distributed by Coming Through, a Swedish company (their website is dead) http://www.comingthrough.se/. Called the Retriever, it is a motorcycle tow 'truck' based on a Honda GL1800. Used to tow cars in a congested area. http://thekneeslider.com/images/retriever.jpghttp://www.hoax-slayer.com/images/towbike-1.jpghttp://www.hoax-slayer.com/images/towbike-4.jpg
  3. Something more prosaic, then.
  4. OK. The "Tiny Red One' seems to have stumped the experts: Snake Motors 250 Single Racer 2013ファン感謝デーでお披露目したプロトタイプです http://www.snakemotors.com/mc/77.html http://www.snakemotors.com/img/77/IMG_2973.jpg http://www.snakemotors.com/img/77/IMG_2975.jpg

  7. The Jason Mod is where one interconnects the naked YICS ports on the heads with hose. Do a search on this site for it. Some swear by it, some dismiss it. Here is a link: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=501 No, the YICS has nothing to do with mounting the fairing. In fact the YICS chamber is just barely slipped into the coil mounting bracket. The YICS chamber is not a structural component. It was eliminated with the MKII. A pic of the YICS chamber:
  8. Yes, the YICS chamber is prone to age related leaks. I would remove it entirely while I had the chance. It could test OK today, but later a leak would manifest itself. The YICS seemed like a good idea at the time, but even Yamaha decided it wasn't worth the expense and hassle and eliminated it on the 1300. When the engine is out, it is short easy work to completely remove the YICS chamber. Just makes sure to either make a 'Jason mod' to the remaining open ports or plug the ports.
  9. I have to admit that the Honda CB50 you pictured has nearly identical lines to the one I posted, but the one I posted had a 250cc single engine and not a DOHC like the CB50. Perhaps the '250 Sport Racer' I submitted started as a CB50. I dunno. But it is being sold as a 2014.

  11. Puc, I found a recommendation of .020-.025" washer thickness in one of my 'archived' documents. One feller says to find brass or nylon washers at Radio Shack. From unknown date or forum thread: What is the proper amount to shim my carb needles? Original question by Dom Ochoa....My understanding from the tech clinic is I can buy brass washers at Radio Shack, but I can't remember what the recommendation was about thickness. (By the way, I'm still running the stock exhaust) Mario wrote: Between .023 and .027 thickness is what most people use. Ted wrote: I have the covers off the carbs and plan to shim the needles about .020" to richen up the midrange. Henry wrote: Mine measure .020 exactly! Scott wrote: The washer thickness is .020. Radio Shack sells them in a little plastic bag of various O.D.'s and I.D.'s. The washer you want to use is obvious. Dale wrote:I have found the stock needles work better or as good as an aftermarket. I would shim the needles with a brass #4 finishing washer found in most hardware stores. These are about .025 thick. I use these in my jet kit when a customer buys one of our exhaust systems. I would also suggest a K&N air filter to allow a bit more air flow.
  12. Yeah, washer shims. I think someone provided the proper washers on here. Maybe Skydoc or Dingy? Apparently the Canadian market Ventures came with the adjustable needles (with notches). But, 1983 needles (left in picture) are different in profile from the 1300 needles (right in picture). So be careful what year you get the Canadian needles from. http://www.venturers.org/Forum/download/file.php?id=10581
  13. I don't think you guys will get this.
