Looks like the Zumo 665 offers it using an XM WX service but at 100 a month I think I will pass. Got a tablet for fathers day will have to see how well that works. I guess my bike served as a weather stone during the trip and I would have to say it worked quite well.

On my East coast loop after MD I kept running through rain and thought how nice it would have been if my GPS had a weather map overlaid on top of the street map. Does anyone know if such a thing exists?

Since it has rained down here every since I got back from MD I would be tempted to say you, your bike and blue sky's however I think I will say You, Your bike and fireworks store or stand.

I just got the same call, told him is was so full of it I was surprised he did not explode. I am sure he was cussing me out but I could not understand a word he was saying.

I have rode mine in sand and gravel the later being easier than sand. If there is much of an incline I would say beware.

I was in the habit of dragging my foot pegs and muffler in almost every curve untill someone asked me "what happens if you go to far and your real wheel losses contact?" Uh never thought of that even after 45+ years of riding, I still touch on them now and then but like ECK said I felt like I was in total control and obviously I was no where near.

Have you ever noticed under the RSV floorboard there is a harder chunk of metal attached. I think Yamaha put it there as a challange to see how far you can wear it down.

I think mother nature does not want me to ride except to work and back, it has rained every day since I got back from MD.

I just replaced mine, I bought a Hobson powered one form Auto Zone http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/Hopkins-Trailer-Tail-Light-Converter/_/N-8ijmg?itemIdentifier=70605_534335_0_ It says it's waterproof but if you mount it under your draw bar like I did it will get water in it and fail, probally because something from the road put a hole in the side of it.
