we just picked up the gopro3 silver at BJ's wholesale club. Paid $229.00 with a couple of mounts and the waterproof case. Took it out for a trial run, worked great, good pic's and video. Robin can control it with the wifi from the back seat on her phone. This way she gets the blame for any bad pic's and video.

Almost forgot, the battery lasted about 90 minutes. but it can be used while hooked up to external power source.

07 had a recall for head bolt torque other then that I don't think the 08 has any special problems.

With 66000 miles, I'd change the clutch at the same time installing Skydoc's up grade kit. It's going to be opened up anyway. Do it all while your in there.

You say you owned the bike for only a year. I'm assuming you are a new rider? If so you really should take a motorcycle safety course. It is amazing what you will learn. well worth the money.

Bobby, just give Hannigan a call, they will tell you what gearing is in your trike. Also I believe it is stamped somewhere on the pumpkin. Probably 3.73 or 3.88

Credit card is a good idea incase of a break down that may lay up the bike for an extended period of time. this will allow you to rent a car, or god forbid, a truck to haul the bike back home.

We are heading down south next month. going to spend a few days in N.C. around Maggie Valley. We plan on taking the 15 south out of Painted Post to the 220 south out of Williamsport pa. through MD, WV to Roanoke VA. from there it is still up in the air as to which route we will take to Maggie Valley. But if your heading to Atlanta you might tray taking the Blue ridge parkway from Roanoke through VA. and NC. Then take State roads into Atlanta.

forgot to ask. How were the road conditions on the 220? we plan on riding it on our way south.

We are heading down there June 14th, for several days. Planning on staying in Maggie Valley for a couple of days. Going to hit the dragon, the Skyway and Wheels through time. then ride the BRP back north to see what we see.

I had the same problem with my first 99. I picked up a used exhaust system from Pinwall cycle parts for a couple hundred bucks and replaced both Y pipes. From what I remember you probably can't fix the old pipes. It is a pretty straight forward procedure to remove the exhaust system.

60 in 5th gear! your not even close to 5th gear speeds. 70 and up, cruising on the thruway is 5th gear time. If it sounds like it is revving high at 60, maybe the clutch is slipping?

Most trikes have a low center of gravity, for the most part they stick to the road like a high end sports car. Like any vehicle to much speed and inexperience = crash.

I was worried about the exhaust also, but I think it is far enough from them that it will be ok. Also am going to use a hard box to store everything in.
