  1. I hope you get to feeling better soon Annie, and go get those blisters checked. If you were sick for so long your immune system might be stressed. Hugs. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  2. I know your pain. I got all my Dad's mother's things, Dad's things, and Mom's things and still need a house to hold it all. When my inlaws die they expect us to take their possessions too. None of which are our taste. And with all the things we have now we won't have room to take on more. So feelings would get hurt if they knew. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  3. I coulda sold you a boston whaler last yr that needed a bit of love but that was in better shape...js... Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  4. Ow! And I thought I was prone to those weird accidents when I break something. I broke a toe walking through the house. And I broke my right leg tripping over a wheelchair ramp in an unlit parking lot after dark. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  5. The question is just how did you do that? Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  6. Yep, I watched it live. Scary. But I don't think it was a bunch of PVC that caught fire like the news and Governor said. Never seen PVC need foam to put it out. But I'm no expert. 7. Riding or car? Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  8. Either works for us, if we get to go. Our 15yr old cat has to travel with us and we have to find cat friendly arrangements for her if we go. Friends should be able to look after the other goofy cat while we would be out of town. Right now the only cat friendly arrangements I can find are in Helen, not sure it's worth it to attempt to travel with her this year so we might bow out and hope there in another Vogel in 2 years. 9. I really am glad to see you back but not the nasty news to go with it. I really hope recovery is an option. You will be in my prayers as well. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  10. Me too, she's been selling off stuff and running a gofundme...but not helping enough. And it's not fair. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  11. Mike and I have a couple of friends that live in East Tawas Michigan. They have been going through a VERY rough time. The wife/SO has been dealing with a bunch of chronic illnesses for years, Ankylosing Spondylitis, fibro, and things related. She's been sick a long time before getting a proper diagnosis. And during all this she had a family, 2 wonderful, handful boys, who are autistic. Her husband had to recently quit working to stay home and take care of her and the kids because most days she needs help getting up from bed. She just turned 30 btw. Since I don't know what services are available to them there, what options are there for getting the rent money and any help they need? She says they don't qualify for foodstamps and such so I'm not sure where to point her. Her SO would love to work as would she, but she's been too sick to work and trying to get on disability these last few years has been a joke. Not trying to hold a fundraiser, just trying to find her the services she needs to not have her and the kids tossed on the streets. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  12. Pass on condolences from Mike and myself. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  13. Mr. Owl, I want to see you feeling better soon. I don't like seeing folks sick with the long term sickies and in the hospital and such. So you need to get better. All the best from the Deep South, Patricia and Michael Kosovic Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  14. Not sure of how the VA works, but would we be able to get a laptop to him? Maybe even hold a fundraiser to buy a cheap one to send to him? Being able to communicate with friends and family here might be huge for him now depending how he feels. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  15. Ours in the current rental are cast iron. When we buy it's one of the planned upgrades in the future home if we don't already have them in the home. I hate a plastic tub myself. And they don't hold up long term imho. The few basements here locally are usually daylight basements. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  16. Yup, I heard about that story. Saturday the sirens went off in Mike's and my neighborhood, we still aren't sure why. The nearest tornado was 25miles away and was headed away from us at that moment. We were both prepped to hit bathtubs with cats and pray, because that's about all you can do. 17. I heard there is still a 2 yr old still missing in Albany. I fear the worst there. A 4 yr old there missing was found a couple days after I've read. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  18. I'm fine. The nearest tornado to us was 25miles away. It damaged a walmart and a nearby subdivision. The real damage is south GA. Our famous Skid is down in Albany doing cleanup work this week. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  19. Here's the latest CNN has on the weather. East Coast, California brace for powerful storms http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/23/us/severe-weather/index.html Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  20. First, Mike and I are fine. The storms never got too bad here in Macon. However the news in South Central and Southwest Georgia is not good. At least 15 people have died between Saturday night and Sunday evening between Albany Ga to a bit North of Valdosta Ga from tornadoes that swept through the area between Saturday and Sunday afternoon. I know at least 2 ppl died in Mississippi, and not sure of the state of Alabama. We are having extremely unusual weather for winter here. This is more like April/May weather. Hoping everyone on the forums is safe. Please let us know if you live in the storm areas that you are safe. Tricia Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  21. I presume you had gastric bypass? If you did, welcome to the club, I did it 2 yrs ago, and there's a lot of schools of thought in the medical community. My doc is strict, no bread, no pasta, no rice, low fat, low carbs, small portions. But other friends with different surgeons have different schools of thoughts, some allow bread and pasta and rice. Let me know when you want to try cauliflower pizza, I have an awesome recipe for it. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  22. That Earl isn't Skydoc, that's Earl Haddock, mm482 is his member name. Awesome guy too though. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  23. Don, I think others have expressed what I would have said. Take care of family, we can take of the site in your absence. I'm sorry the surgery hadn't gone as well as was hoped for. Your family will be in my prayers. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  24. I have 2 autistic kids and I was either a mile a min kid or shutdown around folks. My husband is the introvert who also shuts down in crowds but likes Vogel. It's the people there. She could do well there. Even my autistic kids who don't do well with strangers feel safe around them and want to be with the people. It's a different crowd there. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
  25. Cowpuc met me on that trip lol I have the pics to prove it! Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
