  1. I’ve got the SMH10 and I love these too. Unfortunately the CB functionality with Freewire will not work with this model. I’ll continue to use a wire when I want to use the CB. Thanks for the input! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Which Sena headset do you use? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. SWEET! I’ll definitely check it out. Thanks!
  4. Ok, flynvy5. So you are able to communicate on CB with the Freewire? Thanks!
  5. Has anybody had any luck getting the Sena SR10 to work with the Second Gen CB? I know this is an old thread so maybe someone has some input now. I'm using the Sena SMH10's and love them for BT intercom, music and GPS but I've recently had a need to use the CB too. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  6. I would have no problem running them. I go through a set or 2 every year. Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk

  8. We're coming up to ride the train in Bryson City the weekend of the 20th - 22d. Really looking forward to getting back up that way[emoji2] Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
  9. My wife has a hankering for one of these things too! Keep us posted! Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
  10. How many miles did you get out of the 230's? Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
  11. It's a beautiful thing! Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
  12. I am considering 1 1/2 inch risers for my 2nd gen if you decide to sell yours. I'm 6' 3" and am not quite where I want to be with the handlebars. I rode an RSTD for over 6 years before I got this bike and loved the bars on it. Not sure how the RSTD bars would work on the RSV... Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
  13. I am so sorry for your loss. Praying for you and your family. Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
  14. Stardock Software makes a Windows 10 start menu program that will give you the old familiar Windows 7 GUI on Windows 10. You can try it for free and if you like it's only $4.95. I tried it for 5 minutes before I made the purchase! Link here http://www.stardock.com/products/start10/. It makes a world of difference for an old guy trying to run a new OS.😃 Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk

I've been happy with the Dunlop Elite 3. Pretty good tread life and sticks to the road rain or shine. Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
  16. Went for a short ride to visit mom and dad. Got home and removed the trunk lid, sanded and am repainting it. Had a nasty scratch right in the middle of it that's driving me bonkers😃 2 coats on now and gonna apply at least one more before I lay some clear. This is my first attempt at something like this so wish me luck! Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
  17. Your modification worked perfectly for me. I was about to pull my hair out because the "right" way would not work. Thanks!
  18. Prayers for you and your family. God bless you all. Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
  19. I thought about cutting the back rest but I ended up just buying the RSV trunk mount and selling my backrest to help off set expenses. Don Ray in Boaz painted the trunk and fairing. Did a great job too. Pricey! About $1100... Looks just like factory though.
  20. Gee, Thanks WildBill1!! I do love to tinker:301:
  21. Hi Phil, I'll get you some pictures together soon. For my trunk I bought the trunk bracket for a RSV from Pinwall Cycles on eBay and also some trunk lights from another vendor. I bought the RSV seat and pillion from Pinwall and I got a bracket/adapter to allow me to mount RSV pillion to RSTD. I bought a third party HD style trunk and then bought HD passenger backrest and luggage rack for it. I bought a Wide Open Customs fairing and had it all painted and striped OEM... Looks pretty nice I think. I found some first gen RoyalStar badges and centered one on the front of the fairing and the rear of the trunk which gave it a nice "OEM" look. I've gotten many compliments ranging from little old ladies to die hard HD folk telling me what a beautiful machine it is. I've got 60,000 miles on it right now and am looking to get to 100,000 in the not to distant future. Still runs great with no major problems. I'll try to get some pictures up later today or this evening. Tommy aka Starpheus
  22. How much was the kit?
  23. Thanks for the comments. The bike is pretty much finished now but I really don't have any really good pictures of the finished product. I've got one that I made last summer but since this was made I've put my stock pipes back on. I had forgotten how nice they sound. When I was a kid I had a 66 Chevy II SS with a custom built 327... White of course. The first time I rode this RSTD I felt like I was sitting on the hood of that ol' Chevy II, just enjoying the breeze and the responsiveness... The sound of the exhaust, the power... AWESOME! Anyway, here's a pic. I'll try to get a few more when the weather breaks.
