  1. I found a great 2004 Yamaha FJR1300. I have always wanted one.Great little bike.
  2. I had one for a couple of years. Good if you are skinny and not too tall. You can get extentions for the handlebars if needed. One of the easiest bikes I have even been on.It has a big gas tank and gets great fuel milage.I great bike to ride in the rain with no fear.I was not keen on the riding position myself.Put your leg over it and see.You might like it.The police use to use them. They are fast and light.
  3. I don't remember that much drama pulling my basket off. I took the parts off and used an impact gun to loosen the big nut on the shaft. There was some kind of a retainer clip on it too.Once i got that out of the way, it was breeze. Good luck with it.
  4. I will look and see if i have one too.
  5. A vacuum bleeder is a great thing to have. All I have ever done is bled out my system. If you do it right it does not take long at all. There is no magic to it.

  10. I had an St1100.It was an amazing bike. The 1300 has more torque and horsepower than a 1100.Great riding position, great handling and extremely fast. St1300s have their own sound too.It is something to investigate.
  11. Is it the same a first Gen shock?
  12. Wings are great bikes.Keep it above the air input side and they will do well. They are beasts.I am glad you got through ok.
  13. I am in the middle of a rebuild and having the same problem. I am pulling my slave.I think my slave is stuck.Trader we should chat too.LOL Ray
  14. I totally agree. Just switch the starter. For all the trouble it takes to pull in off and put it back on, this is the way to go.If you get a used one though, spend a few bucks and rebuild it.Easy and inexpensive to do.Your bike will start like a sports bike.
  15. I have a tank rack that the bag sits on.it is a little difficult to put the straps on because it does not go under the tank.I don't have to worry about scratching my tank though. I have a tank bag I use from the Honda I had thats bigger and has a waterproof cover. That's the one I use when I tour.
  16. Here is the one I have for my bike.It is similar to the Ventureline type.

  20. I am having the same problem. Can I check it on the clutch plate side?
  21. I just rebuilt my clutch slave on a project bike I am working on. I have no leaks but my clutch will still not disengage. I bled it out fine and there is lots of back pressure on the clutch handle. The master seems fine. Any suggestions how I can look into to fix this? Could I have a problem with the clutch pack?
  22. It is not a show stopper but you should get it fixed ASAP.I had a bad one on my 84 and rode 4300 km on a tour.Replaced it when I got back.
