    I had 15,666 but them last numbers freaked me out so I drove 2 miles in 35 degree weather and put her away again but it is going to hit mid 50,s so time to roll on some miles before they start doing the back injections on me.

    i had a strange noise on my jeep after hitting a few pot holes turned out to be the inspection plate to the flywheel. drove me nuts as it only did it at 25 mph or going backwards but i agree sounds lke it could ne a cv joint?

    well I checked the plugs cleaned them checked the air box and the tires. then thought to myself? hey just before I put the bike away. I had a shop do an oil change and adjust the drive chain? well looks like cowpuc might have hit the nail on the head. after they did the chain adjustment that of course involved the rear brake to be moved not much but just enough to cause some brake drag. also I drained the old gas. drained the float bowls put fresh gas in. I know some people say higher octane gas is a waste of money. but I though the old girl might not mind a tank of premium at 5 cents more a gallon with my shell discount card I thought why not? well I took her out today we had a 70 plus day today. got her up to 65 mph in 5th gear rolled off the throttle the hit her again and vroom she kicked back in. I love it when it is something simple and you can do it yourself with out letting a shop go at it until they ring you up a huge bill. thanks to the 2 who posted for the advice

    I took stella out for her second ride of this season. all went well until I got out on a long road. I went through the gears got her up to 65 MPH into 5th gear I had to back off a little for a car ahead of me I was still doing around 60 MPH she just did not want to respond? acted like she was at full throttle and had no more to give? she has a stage 3 kit in the carbs that where installed by the P.O and fat stacker mufflers and a KN&N air filter bike rand fine last year? she was put away with a full tank of gas and a mixture of seafoam and stable. carbs where drained. she has only been in storage since November as we had some nice November days. since I had the bike I pout over 4000 miles on her could it be time for new plugs? could there be a little crude in the carbs I know this bike is not a big bike just a 750 Honda shadow ace but it should respond better then that or I just needed to down shift into 4th and gun it until it was ready for 5th? thanks for any info oldgoat

    been there done that n my car. I did not know the light switch in my brother in-laws house shut off the electric power to the darn garage LOL

    been to the doctors today to see what is going on with the pressure in my spine. they now want to do laser surgery in the L5 S1 and cant recall the other disk area. has anyone hade this type of operation? just looking as to what to expect from it? some people say it is useless. and go with a discectomy instead? they hung me upside down in some kind of chair ? I felt good for about 2 hours but now the pain is back and I had to take some morphine. yep that is what the doctors put me on. wonderful stuff. but don't dare drive anywhere. so if any one has had this kind of laser surgery I would like to hear how you did with it thanks oldgoat

    I am sorry to say it did not work out. ended up with a bad MS attack the second day of working.. if the doctors can find out what is going on I will have a spinal tap done sometime in the next 2 to 3 weeks. I lost some function in my legs and they would not hold me up? I am moving about but with the help of my cane and my walker. doctor said use the cane out side and as much as possible. and use the walker around the home. I am on some power full steroids. and they seem to be working? but there is some pressure on the middle part of my spinal cord? there could be a lesion there? MS strips the mylenin sheath kind of like when a wire gets frayed so my brain my send out say signal to move my right foot but it gets crossed out by the lesion and jumps the signal to say drop the foot and I end up with drop foot symptom. I had this happen about 12 years ago and they fixed me so I hope they can do it again? thank you all for your support sorry I kind of let you down.

    you near motley? there use to be a café up there cant recall the name now. had one heck of a half pound burger and a 3 pound one if you ate it all you got it for free. you had I think 25 minutes to eat it though?
