    I bought my 07 RSTD at Larson cycle inn Cambridge as well! I've added the Butler seat fix, luggage rack, Clearview shield, highway pegs and a back rest. Very comfortable bike at highway speeds but tippy in parking lot etc. I payed 13000 back in 08 for the new 07. The whine-chirp is a drag but you get used to it after awhile. I don't really notice it any more but friends who ride the bike always comment on the noise. A good set of ear plugs or some good tunes seems to help. I've been looking at th 10 Kawi Voyager as a possible next bike. I would sell the RSTD and buy the Voyager for about 14000. Any thoughts??

    I have the chirp/whine issue with my 07 RSTD as well. Seems to get louder with the increase in engine operating temp. I have found listening to Pink Floyd and Mark Knopfler at about volume 17 to be a great fix!

    Well, I bit the bullet and purchased the Carbine for my 07 RSTD. Read your post on proceedure and everything went smoothly! Carbs were a bit out of sync, but nothing major. Thanks for the well thought out instructions!

    Well, I finally got around to changing out the plugs. Only 10 k on the 07 RSTD but the book calls for change at 8k. Called several shops; they wanted to charge between $100 and $125 plus parts---wow! Went down to local auto supply and a purchased 4 new plugs for a bit over $10. Took off the tank and was able to get at the plugs--not too bad at all! She actually started right off----
