Never tried it but let's think about what happens. The pistons are only going to suck in a certain volume regardless of how much is available from the carbs. The carb's main function is to provide a controlled mixture of gas and air to the combustion chamber. It does not force any more into the chamber, only a blower can do that. The only way to increase volume into the chamber without using a blower is to increase the stroke of the piston which will decrease the maximum RPM the engine can safely reach without flying apart. So, the short answer is I don't think so...

OK this is suppose to be a "fun" thread! I'm really not looking for deep philosophical answers unless you really want to impress yourself with your answers. My only comment is concerning valve adjustment. Unless it is hard starting and runs like crap regardless of tune ups and carb sync, you might be just wasting your time, but if you want things "perfect" then go ahead. Most of the other stuff sounds like a good idea...

Trader has an excellent point! I know I personally would appreciate a $1000 credit for the Hampton Inn or Holiday inn or something like that. I would make the package for something a little more appealing than say Budget or Econolodge and make it a little better chain. The trailers offered in the past have been better than the cheapest we could find but not necessarily the most expensive either...

Well, there is a lot to see and do in the Western New York area so be sure to include our area in your plans! Unless you already have well over 200,000 miles on your Venture you should have no hesitation taking it. Any bike can have the normal problems like brakes and tires, even new ones. As long as you give it a good tune up prior to leaving and change the oil regularly you should be good to go...
