I tried both and Forum Runner is similar in its ease of use. The promotional material claimed it was more efficient for use on our smart phones. Don't know if that is true.

Was thinking of you today Scott as we rode home on the last day of our Venture East ride so your post is appreciated. Hope the recovery goes well my friend. if you are up to it, I will come visit later this week or early next week.

After making our past Venture West trip and 12 days into our current Venture East, our 88VR has now taken us from Canadian coast to coast and my wife has now dipped her toes into both oceans. Sounds great Gary. Hard to not enjoy a show like that. Anne and I were really revved up on music from our younger years when we spent a day at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland on our way to Maintenance Day.

Today on our Venture East trip we spent some time at Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory in Vermont. It is an amazing facility as some of these pictures might show. Plus, their ice cream is as good as it gets. In case your are wondering, 2 of the pictures are from their "flavour graveyard" which is a real hoot. Another shows the back of the factory where their huge tanks for milk and cream and sugar are located. There is also a huge gift shop and they give tours of their factory. It is such a large and busy place that they have three large parking areas, one for buses that bring ice cream lovers to spend time there.

Thanks to all who provided comments here and in PM's. For those who recommended the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon just off 6, I can testify that it is definitely a must see for those riding in the area. We are now in NYS on 30 heading towards Lake Placid area - more amazing roads!! Today in Honsdale PA, I toured by far the largest and most amazing bike shop called Rusty Palmers, with Yamaha topping the list of bikes it sells. Several pics of the place are in our blog post today. Appropriate for its grandiose size and decor, the ceiling fan is a helicopter blade. Two years ago, we did our 5 week 13,000 km Venture West, making it to the west coast. The day we arrived home from that ride, my wife Anne announced that we should ride to the east coast next. Well, we finally have some time (almost 4 weeks) for that ride, and we headed out this morning. After attending Maintenance Day, we will head east across Pennsylvania on 6 and then wind our way up to the Lake Placid area, then the US NE states before returning to Canada to tour New Brunswick, Nova Scotia including Cape Breton, Newfoundland (if time permits), PEI and back home through Quebec by way of the Gaspe. My wife[did a blog for our Venture West trip for friends and family that I also posted and the positive feedback surprised me. So, we have started a similar blog for our Venture East trip, with our first post today.
