  1. Spray some penetrating liquid on that bolt before you tackle the job. It may help a bit.
  2. Looks like a duplicate key for
  3. So my shop called this morning and they have replaced my starter under warranty. The bike is ready to be picked up So happy….
  4. Yamaha fixed my front brake switch under warranty. Happy with that… now it is my turn to have my starter replaced under warranty. Glad she was in the garage, when it was time for the starter to stop working. Dealer shop already has a starter ordered for me and just waiting until this weekend. So glad I have my ‘07 RSV that I can still ride. pic from yesterday:
  5. Very nice! For sure can be used all year round. Enjoy the outdoors! 👍🏻
  6. I was so busy over the last 2 weeks and the weather was not conducive for riding, so I really did not really take a closer look at my battery situation. I'll try to jump the bike tomorrow and if it starts, I will be so relieved that it is not my starter. If it is truly my battery, that is an easy fix. FWIW, we had about 4 inches of snow last night and hopefully that would be it for the winter season. Spring is just a few more days away.
  7. @Freebird Belated Happy Birthday!
  8. Having the right tools and equipment is the key. It is like having another pair of strong hands to tackle the heavy stuff.
  9. Daytona Bike Week is one of my destination wish in my lifetime. All I can do is to day dream for now.
  10. @ChiefGunnerI am looking forward to your project. I can almost imagine it will come out pretty cool and hopefully brighter.
  11. Today was a very beautiful day in terms of temperature. I think we came close to 70° this afternoon. I was able to warm up my '07 and it cranked right up after sitting for a number of weeks due to bad weather, etc. So this afternoon, I wanted to give the SVTC and spin and it didn't want to crank. Not sure initially what was going on until the onboard voltage meter indicated 11.9 volts. My easy fix for now is to plug it in on my Battery Tender and see if it cranks back up tomorrow. After today, winter temperature is on our way and freezing rain/sleet is forecasted for Friday morning. A little disappointed not being able to ride, but I must be patient.
  12. Still here. Working a lot and staying out of trouble. Hello to all.
  13. It has been over a week now and there is no good weather in sight. Our roads are salt covered and temperature has been below freezing ever since. It is suppose to warm up nicely by Thursday and Friday but...guess what...lots of rain in the forecast. In a way, it is good for mother nature to wash off all the salt and debris from the road. Another week and hopefully there will be some ride time by the 2nd week of February.
  14. The secret is simple. I am always easy on the throttle ever since I've had my 777 installed and religiously keep my rear pressure at 40 psi. I expect my front tire will last almost twice as long as my rear or at least close to 16K - hopefully.
  15. So glad you followed your instinct that you are able to sense danger. Your experience truly matters. Two thumbs up!
  16. When I’m on my RSV, I rely on my 777s. I think I have close to 10K miles on my rear tire and it still has a lot of miles left. Nice video.
  17. I feel your pain as well. We just couldn’t catch a break on the cold temps and not to mention…the incredible amount of salt on the road. Looking at my 7 days forecast doesn’t look very good either. I am very ready for cold weather rides, but at this condition it just makes it impossible for me to even consider a short ride. 🤞hoping for a nice rain shower to wash off all the salt.
  18. Stay strong, Don. I am praying for your speedy recovery.
  19. Stay strong, Don. I also would like to thank you for all what you did for this great forum. I enjoy going to this site everyday. Things will get better and hopefully I can join the group this summer and get to meet fellow riders and to see you once again. Take care all. Keep in touch.
  20. This is not my preferred weather, but I remain patient. 😏
  21. I need to loose 5 lbs. The food left overs are not helping. 😃
  22. I thought we were going to get a lot of snow ❄️ a couple of days ago, but it totally missed my area. Virginia, D.C. and south of Baltimore got the brunt of the storm. Now I am waiting for the rain clouds to come, because the snow crew dropped lots of rock salt along my route but the snow never came. 😟. It might be looking good next week.
  23. About half an inch of snow is expected to arrive early Monday morning, but only up to half an inch. Hoping for less and I hope the snow crew doesn’t go crazy on the salt. That is the bad news. Towards the end of the week is looking a little better. Looking forward to at least log in my first ride of 2022 soon.
  24. I think it is fair to say, you have until Jan 15 to make changes to your New Years Resolution - if you have one. After that date, it is normal as usual. 😇
