  1. Might be an easy way to get hit by a cooking pan on the head.
  2. In my case, she was perfectly fine with it. The trick is to let her know in advance.
  3. Hello Don. I am ready as well just need to let this heat wave get past us.
  4. Congrats on a new ride. It might be a good time to arrange for a group ride.
  5. Prayers to you Don that you will not loose your eyesight. Injecting the eye to remove some fluid sounds like a very delicate operation. Wishing you the best and hoping that you can find the right bike for you to enjoy.

    Midnight sold

Congrats on selling the bike. I am sure the new owner will have lots of smiles and miles coming up.
  7. All set here. Just logged in using my email address. Thanks for the heads up.
  8. I've had good luck on my Duracell motorcycle battery installed in my RSV. After a little over 3 years now, the battery is still performing well - no complaints.

    Ride Report

lol...some people just like me don't have any choice at this point. I really thought you meant SNOW, but that is hopefully 6 months away. At any rate, I was able to ride my RSV to and from again yesterday and will switch to the SVTC today. Wind therapy for the next 3 days....yay!

    Ride Report

No leisure riding for me lately. Simply riding back and forth to work. Busy lately at work, but at least I get to have some riding every now and then.
  11. Congrats on your new ride. I coudn't comment on the two wet carbs on your left side, but hopefully someone can respond with a fix. Try to clean and wipe down the wetness and see if it still persist. As for the choke, I always have to pull it our halfway on an initial start and after sitting for more than 10 minutes. Always warm up your RSV to a good temperature before riding. RSV's need to warm up really good.
  12. I am on the opposite side. I also have the '18 and had all the warranty items replaced by my trusted Yamaha shop. At this time, I think my yamaha warranty had already expired. Ride safe and enjoy the bike.
  13. @labill I just saw this post. Hopefully your original recalled started has already been replaced and your problem resolved.
  14. I am also getting close to replace my front wheel since it is a 2018. Still a lot of rubber left and also inspecting the tire almost every week before any ride. So far so good. Need to shop for that large hex wrench, if I can find the correct size and purchase it individually ... not a set.
  15. I also got the 'Banned' message this morning, but I knew something happened and it is in the works. Thank You, Don for the update. Glad to be able to sign in again.
  16. Glad you are ok after that incident. It could have been a lot worse.
  17. Hello there from SE Pennsylvania! I am not so knowledgeable on the 1st Gens, but there is a lot of good resource here. Keep on posting your question and somebody will know the answer. Welcome to the forum.
  18. For mowers and tractors, battery operated does not work for me. But when it comes to a chainsaw, it is the only battery Ryobi brand I have in my yard equipment. Simply because...I only cut tree branches time to time and I've had it for almost 5 years now. Its 40V battery so far is holding up fine. As for this chain saw, the only oil I need is the chain lubricating oil.
  19. This is just too much mathematics for me and based on your initial calculations, gas powered mowers are still more economical in the long run. It is scary to think about the price of the batteries after 5 years...and after 5 years that price at the present time will double in cost after 5 years. IMO, you are better off with gas powered since you are very good in maintaining your equipment. Battery powered mowers are for homeowners who don't like to change oil on their equipment. FWIW, I am still using my JD tractor that I bought in 2001 and is still running strong. Maintaining it is not so expensive either.
  20. I agree. Despite the high price of oil, your rides got the best of the best.
  21. Father's Day to All fathers out there who are still with us and spiritual! Enjoy the day!
  22. Great Job, Don! Sounds to me it is time to ride. Enjoy your week.
  23. Best time to do some wrenching. Enjoy!
  24. Interesting observation on the lowers. FWIW, I don't intend to remove them at all whatever the season is. Ride safe.
