I can't comment so much on modular helmets, because I've never owned one. As for Helmet brands with the perfect fit, Arai has always been my only helmet of choice. As mentioned before, try the helmet and then make your best decision based on fit and comfort.

Was just pulling your leg. I heard it might fit the 2nd Gen RSV and there is a great demand for it.

I have a feeling Don will have an almost brand new set of OEM 2025 Road Glide mufflers that might fit the RSV.

He is really doing the right thing. Baby steps on riding and safety. He is lucky to have you as a mentor for life. This sounds to me that Don is back on the saddle. Enjoy the experience of a lifetime with your son.

Good evening to all! Today, Wednesday, July 30, 2025, is the hottest day of the week (at least in our area here in SE Pa.). With that said, the weather folks stated there is light at the end of the tunnel. By the end of the week, this coming Friday's high will strangely be in the lower 70's for a high. Thank God for the cold front that will blanket the area by Friday. You know what that means... time to cut the grass once again and wash the family minivan and not suffer from any potential heat stroke. . This Friday is the big day. lol Stay cool. Stay Hydrated and be weather informed. Ride safe to wherever your destination may be.

Good evening to all! Started yesterday and finished today. Replaced plugs on the RSV and SVTC. Installed D2 Denali and SoundBomb horn on the SVTC. Despite the heat in the garage, it was fun working on the install. Didn't get the chance to install the Denali SoundBomb on the RSV since I don't have the right bracket for it. Will order the correct bracket online by tonight. So happy how they both turned out. IMG_1223.MP4

Good morning to all. Beautiful Saturday morning over here. Both bikes will have new plugs today. Found the best deal for RSV plugs online for $3.50 a plug. I still remember they cost less than a dollar two decades ago.

@bpate4home Take it slow and enjoy. The brain has the desire, the muscles will follow. Ride safe.

Good evening to all! The week is almost over just like that, but I've been riding since Monday leaving all cagers home alone. The weather has been conducive for riding and have been taking advantage of that opportunity. Some maintenance is upcoming for the RSV and SVTC and looking forward to install accessories on both bikes. Ride safe and have a relaxing Thursday night.

Nice scoot. May you have thousands of fun miles with it. I am also keeping my RSV till the end. We started together from the very beginning and it is just appropriate to enjoy the RSV to the max. I'll be checking out whatever accessories might interest me in the for sale sections.

Thanks for sharing your pics.

I did indeed....'Still Riding the Star Venture'. Today was dry, hot and very humid but this did not stop me from riding. It is a blessing to get another round of wind therapy. Ride safe wherever your destination may be.

Nice find. -
It won't be long, she'll be "riding into the sunset' and you'll be left alone by yourself at home. Just kidding... Glad to see she has a sweet smile on her face. That CanAm is a perfect match for your wife.

Good morning to all. Our area got so much rain yesterday and some areas got over 7 inches of rain in a span of 5 hours. For consolation, today is going to be the driest day of the week so that means I'll be riding to and from work. Ride safe and stay cool.

Very nice! Congratulations!

Didn't ride today since grass cutting and some yardwork took most of my time. Nice to hear your wife made $110 and the rest for a good cause. Ride safe tomorrow.
-
@sleepy2 Have fun on your yard sale and wishing you good weather for that. Rode a few times this week as well and now in the process of ordering spark plugs for the RSV and SVTC. I might as well do them together after I brave the heat tomorrow cutting grass... (I think I still have one more complete set for both in storage) Just wanted to mention, it appears that it is so much easier to replace plugs on the SVTC compared to the RSV but for are still fun to work on. Have a nice weekend all! Keep on riding, when you get the chance and ride safe.

...and they lived happily ever after. Congrats on the CanAm. If I were you, don't worry too much on mpg. Focus on the good times. Ride safe.

Good evening fellow Ventureriders! Hope you are having a fun summer. Too many strong thunderstorms around, so maybe tomorrow might be a ride day.
-
Never say never. Time will tell. Always keep motorcycling in your mind. Now that most if not all of the thunder clouds are out of our area, today is a gorgeous day to ride until up to the weekend. Be safe this weekend of July 4th.

I will assume you are referring to your 2008 RSV. On your first question, there should no voltage on the rectifier of a motorcycle with the ignition off. Which makes sense to me and you are correct. There are members here that are subject matter experts on the RSV electrical system and they should chime in soon. Explain to us what seems to be your problem.

I've never done anything like that. Truly impressive. Congrats!
