Hello and Good Morning to all. A late comer in this thread. Nice to hear about the giveaway. I have an '07 and is still running strong at 65K miles. As the original owner of my 2nd gen Venture, it is here to stay until the end of time.

Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year to all. For us Christians, the holidays does not end until next Sunday which is the celebration of the Three Kings. Christmas decorations stay up until that time.

Great to read about folks being able to ride. It has been almost 2 weeks now since my last ride. I think the weather will be better next week for a chance to ride before the end of the year.

That is true. We always have to be vigilant 100% of the time. We all need 'repeated' advice and we must all come home safe and sound. Ride safe. Thanks for posting.

Get well soon, Don. I am just recovering from flu like symptoms on this end and may be able to go back to work soon. It took me at least 2 days to feel much better.

I also recently changed the oil on my SVTC as well...then ordered a rear tire for the RSV and hope to receive it this week. For now, the RSV will stay in the garage since I don't feel safe riding it anymore until I get a new rear tire installed.

I am not sure where Hocking Hills is located and I will be coming from York, Pa. I am definitely interested. The sooner we can get a date, the better chance I can manipulate my calendar. I looked up the location and the ride is apx. 6 hours from my location.

So glad to hear that everything is looking good. Your riding sounds like it is speeding up the healing process.

I am 6 hours away from Don, but I am very interested for a ride. Looking forward to meeting most of you once this plan materializes. I'll be following this thread. Weather should improve in a couple of days with cooler daytime temps and lower humidity.

I've seen a similar technology on new cars as well. My aunt was shopping for a new Toyota last weekend and she asked me to help test drive the vehicle with her. This particular 2024 car has a feature that if you are on Drive and it is sort of bumper to bumper...there is a button on the console you can press and it engages the brake strong enough to keep the vehicle stationary and allows the driver to take the foot off the accelerator with the vehicle still of Drive. Once traffic starts moving, simply press 'that' button and it releases the brake and off you go. Happy to hear you were able to enjoy your sweet ride over the weekend.

In my case, she was perfectly fine with it. The trick is to let her know in advance.

Prayers to you Don that you will not loose your eyesight. Injecting the eye to remove some fluid sounds like a very delicate operation. Wishing you the best and hoping that you can find the right bike for you to enjoy.

I've had good luck on my Duracell motorcycle battery installed in my RSV. After a little over 3 years now, the battery is still performing well - no complaints.

lol...some people just like me don't have any choice at this point. I really thought you meant SNOW, but that is hopefully 6 months away. At any rate, I was able to ride my RSV to and from again yesterday and will switch to the SVTC today. Wind therapy for the next 3 days....yay!
