  1. Sounds like you've got 'em sold, but if it doesn't work out, lemme know, ....I'll take 'em.
  2. From what I've been reading, I may be saving myself some trouble down the road. The bypass I mentioned is simply a relay that shares the heaviest load through the ignition switch, which will greatly reduce the chance that it'll burn out from overload. A stitch in time saves nine. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.......wait.....that one doesn't apply....
  3. :2143:Thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time.
  4. Just spoke with Chic at Rivco and paid the deposit for a centerstand for my 06 Black Cherry RSV. She says they'll be available May 1st. Centerstand, Clutch upgrade, ignition switch bypass, smart phone mount and probably the leveling links will have this new to me bike ready for years of enjoyment. Sounds like a full days work to get her in line, but I'm looking forward to it. I keep thinking about the V-Max final drive upgrade, but for now I can just jump on Ol' Blue (first gen) if I feel the need for speed. This weather's gotta break eventually......
  5. I wonder what makes him think it's ready for an overhaul. Looks to me like it could be brought back without too much effort.
  6. I'd like to jump on the bandwagon and wish ya a Happy Birthday!!! Hopefully I'll get the chance to join ya on a ride this Summer. Hope ya have a good day.
  7. On the Universal Finger Grip shown in the video, it just shows the phone holder and not how it'd attach to the bike. I'd like to attach a smart phone to my new to me 06 RSV. What's the best way to mount such a holder...???
  8. The one that gets me every once in a while on my first gen is when I accidentally hit the stop button and it takes me a minute or two to figure why it won't crank when I try to start it.
  9. Ya made it through another year.....Congrats !!! Happy Birthday !!! and many happy returns.
  10. Sounds like he had a long, full life. Thoughts and condolences are with you.
  11. I don't know many folks here, but have been to 3 of your MD events and was impressed with what a great get-together it was, and it spoke volumes about your character. I hope your situation is resolved quickly, and to your benefit. Be well.
  12. I've had an '87 Venture Standard, and now also have an '06 RSV in Black Cherry.
  13. Thoughts and good Karma sent your way.
  14. Acetaminophen > > > All drugs have two names, a trade name and generic name. > > Example, the trade name is Tylenol and it's generic name is Acetaminophen.. Aleve is also called Naproxen. > > Amoxil is also called Amoxicillin and Advil is also called Ibuprofen. > > The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. > > After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin. > > Pfizer Corp. announced today that Viagra will soon be available in liquid form, and will be marketed by Pepsi Cola as a power beverage suitable for use as a mixer.. It will now be possible for a man to literally pour himself a stiff one. > > Obviously we can no longer call this a soft drink, and it gives new meaning to the names of 'cocktails', 'highballs' and just a good old-fashioned 'stiff drink'. > > Pepsi will market the new concoction by the name of: MOUNT & DO. > > Thought for the day: There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer's research. > > This means that by 2020, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them. >
  15. Just got my upgrade kit from Skydoc. Talk about a quick turnaround !!! Thanks, Earl.
  16. I just ordered parts from Skydoc for the double spring and extra disc setup. I haven't noticed mine slipping, but it doesn't feel like a very positive engagement. I like to know that if I release the lever, it's gonna grab quick and solid. Looking forward to having decent enough weather to pull the bike out of the shed and do a few upgrades. Thanks Earl !!!
  17. ME TOO !!! ME TOO !! I didn't know they were available. I just bought my 2nd gen (06 /Black Cherry) at the end of the season, and would like to address any problem issues before I start ridin'. Lemme know if there's a bypass setup available.
  18. Tell me about it. 99% of the work I do is on roofs. It gets pretty cold up there; especially when I have to do intricate work where I gotta take the gloves off.
  19. Been there done that. How about rummaging around to find glasses that are in your hand. How about getting mad because you've gone out to the car and back twice, looking for the cell phone that's clipped to your belt. ......sigh.....
  20. If it was legal here, I don't know that I'd ever use it, but I think that if you can grow it in your back yard, harvest it and smoke it, the gubment should have no say in what you with it. I wouldn't be comfortable with all drugs being legal, but I think it's an over reach of government to have made it illegal thus far. No skin off my nose either way, but I'm all for anything that creates greater individual liberties.
  21. I don't carry often, but when I do it's either a Taurus 40Smith, if I have heavy clothes on, or a Smith Bodyguard .380 if I'm dressed light.
  22. Situational awareness is the key. (And packin' a .45 doesn't hurt either)

    Wait what?

Makes me feel bad for the kids. This is a screwed up world we live in.
