  1. About 25,000 miles ago my 2000 venture failed and would not start.....after checking everything for several days finally figured that the pick up assembly (part # 4nk 81670-00-00) had failed. Its also called an Ignition pickup pulse generator. The first one I replaced was ordered through Yamaha. This time I will get a used one from Pinwill. What I would like to know is if anyone else has had this problem or maybe I am just special. By the way I looked through the forum and could not find anyone else with the same problem....Both times the pick up assembly failed it was in the my garage, a day or three after a long hard ride, 10hr 60-80mph.
  2. Use a city motorcycle, non hydraulic adjustable clutch, and practice a lot without worrying about falling down..........yeah it can be done:322:
  3. When you fry a clutch on a hydraulic system....make sure you bleed your clutch.....Chances are you boiled the fluid on the bottom end...Slow manuevers and parades are tough in the summer........
  4. monoprice .com.............Best Place for any electronic wiring.......speaker wires, hdmi cables any connection wires for tv and stereos......Quality is very good...
  5. If you fried you fried your clutch...........you might want to change your oil............If your changing the spring.....probably not........JMO.
  6. I took the trunk off. Now I need to know what bracket I need to mount for a sissy bar and small luggage rack..........The motor handles better without the wind catcher behind me.
  7. There are two brands of helmets that motor officers wear...The arai classic with proper paint scheme and one made by super seer which is a subsidary of shoei....Google Police motorcycle helmets and you will find both.....Cost is around 300-400 bucks....You might find a vendor who will sell you one....Good luck:322:
  8. Note........When your tank is vented in this manner and you fill it to the top in the summer when it is hot and the engine is hot........then put it on the sidestand you will find a puddle of fresh gas under your bike in about 5 minutes.....Therefore fill up after your break at the gas station and ride at least 15 miles after a fill-up..You will get a lot more gas in after venting......3/10 to almost 4/10 of a gallon
