  1. Is there a way to set the color as a default .... Or do I just change it every time on login?
  2. Buddy you've been lifted up in prayer.... Your are in the hands of the "Great Physician"
  3. Puc, been lookin' thru my toolbox for one important tool to help repair your damage.... Oh yeah here it is ......."Prayer". Reading your posts, I gather that your are a "believer" and those of us that are like minded, we lift you up and believe that you are already healed, amen.
  4. You should check out Cherry Grove....not near as congested as Myrtle Beach. We rented a house one block off beach, 2 BR, 2 bath, washer/dryer, full kitchen, TV every room, WiFi, two car car port, beach cart w/chairs, gas on grille on second floor deck...$650.00 weekly. We found it on VRBO site. Enjoy your beach stay.
  5. What is that semi haulin' in the other direction? Btw neat trailer.....
  6. You do what?? I thought you were supposed to hot glue them back on ! The hardest part is matching each leaf to where it fell off.....man that is exhausting ! I'm going to bed now, good nite
  7. Have not used my toe to shift in years (excepting 1st gear)....took a short while getting used to using heel and can't see going back.
  8. also sorry for your loss.....those darn dogs sure are great friends. hope you find another friend......
  9. Puc & Tippy, Always sad to hear this kind of news, been down the same trail myself. Your Dad is absent from the body but present with The Lord. Jesus encouraged us with these words..."Come unto me, all ye who labor and are heavy burdened and I will give you rest". May you and your entire family find comfort and peace during this most difficult time. Our family mourns with you, Godspeed my friend.
  10. Hey Pucster, Can you supply the part # and vendor for that part....I'm gonna buy a truck load and get rich....you indeed are a genius !
  11. And they work like a charm...everyone should have this item...what a time and knuckle buster saver !!
  12. I believe most will pipe up and say that these bike are fairly bulet proof.....if you'll do regular and required maintenance, I would concur. Had my 07 RSTD for 7 years. and have replaced tires, brake pads and point set in fuel pump, along with other maintenance while putting 38k miles on it. Suprisingly my battery is original. IMO if you are somewhat mechanically inclined and have some tools, then with all the tech support you can find on this site, as well as all the experienced riders, you should be able to handle most issues. Congrats on your never ride and welcome to the nuthouse.
  13. Should stop in Gautier and say howdy to my brother and eat some shrimp...
  14. Someone tell me how he shifts, throttles and stops that thigamabob?
  15. So why did the cowboy buy a wiener dog ? Because someone told him to " get a long little doggie"
  16. Disconnect the battery... If the light is still on....get rid of the bike, it's possessed. On a more serious note, I'm sure someone will pitch in with some helpful advice .... Good luck.
  17. You could make one using furring strips, cardboard and a staple gun.... fwiw.
  18. "So Proud of My Taylor"..... And rightly so. A well spoken young lady !
  19. The opportunity to spent time with my best friend....my wife. Often times when riding I'll hearken back to a time as a young teen when I would steal my brothers bike (an old Harley) and ride thru the neighborhood, experiencing the freedom, sights, sounds and smells. Thanking God for the opportunity to live in this not perfect but wonderful U.S.of A.
  20. Replacing the points is very easy and takes approx. 30 minutes and the pump doesn't need to be removed from bike to do the job. You will need a soldering iron to remove one wire and resolder upon replacement. I've got more time than money, so these type repairs give me something to do.
  21. Just curious mega2500 if you do mostly two up riding or pull a trailer. 48lbs. Seems high pressure. I've been running venoms for several year (3rd set) and my last rear gave me approx.9k miles and seemed that the 42 lbs. I ran in it, wore out the center and 98% of my riding is two up.
