  1. I think that those are both great looking bikes. The 2003 has a lot more of the Yamaha chrome extras and some of that is getting hard to find. I tell you though, I just spent a lot of time looking for another bike before I found the 2005 Midnight that I bought. I looked all over the USA at both dealers and private owners. There are some good deals out there. I don't think that either of those are too terribly high but I honestly think that both are about $1,000.00 high based upon my own searches. I would do a little more negotiating.
  2. Folks, the small patches, decals, etc. are listed in the VentureRider merchandise forum with prices and email to send money via PayPal. Please sure to include your address in the Notes section when placing an order.
  3. Here you go. Scroll down to about the middle of the page to see the ones for the RSV and RSTD. There is even a picture there of the silver '99 that I sold to Dan. Nanci does fantastic work. http://www.acehighleathers.com/motorcycle/other-cool-stuff/
  4. Hey, I know you are razzing me but I tell you, I still have more than $10,000 less tied up in the RSV. It's all good.
  5. Hey...I've already got a handful of things that weren't on the '99. A couple of things will be a while though. VMax rear and Dyna 3000 are going to have to wait a while. Unless you fall asleep at Maintenance Day.
  6. Well I HOPE I am about done with what I thought were the FEW things that I would need for this bike. KuryAkyn longhorn peg mounts are ordered as well as a couple other small things. I think the Russell seat is going to work out but Eileen missed the wraparound Corbin backrest that I had on the '99 and I had a similar Mustang backrest on the Harley. So, I managed to obtain a used Corbin passenger backrest and it is on it's way to Russell to be recovered to match everything else. They do great upholstery work but are pretty proud of their work. It is costing more than I expected it to but it just won't look right otherwise. Nanci from Ace High Leathers has mailed me a sample of the fabric that I had her use to make the Saddlebag lid covers on the '99. I know it's the same pattern but I'm not sure it's the exact same color. Will decided on that after the sample arrives and then decide how to proceed on the bib and lid covers. I want to order another pair of crash bar stiffeners from @Carbon_One at some point. I think that's about it. Oh yea...I need a GPS mount and some drink holders...and.....
  7. I have a set of the triple diamond cut fins waiting to install when I get home. If you want to drool over some more of them, he now has a new website at http://www.thediamondcutguy.com Will be getting him to add pictures of mine once I get them installed.
  8. By the way, I love those Monster Ovals on it. May have to do some looking around.
  9. HEY HEY HEY.....you go back to your corner.
  10. Are you changing brake and clutch lines and throttle cables or trying to get by with your original ones?
  11. Do any of you who are attending my MD need any pinstriping done? If so, I will contact Jaybird and see if he can make it.
  12. Very nice and very well done. Has some nice extras on it too.
  13. Not much. Out of guardian bells. Have some domed decals. That's pretty much it right now. Maybe a flag or two.
  14. According the the write up, you can use a drill bit sized 15/32 or 12mm.
  15. Small patches only. I think the price is 3.00 each. Information is in the VentureRider Merchandise forum.
  16. That's what I really meant. I don't figure the bank and my house are going to BOTH burn. If they do, things are even worse than I thought.
  17. WOW...this is a 7 year old thread. The email you used was likely not correct if you got it from this thread. I got no payment from you. You need to cancel it and send it to dnelson@venturerider.org PM me your address and I'll get it in the mail but it will be Friday. I am out of town now.
  18. Bank safe deposit box is a good option.
  19. I've changed quiet a few tires and never had to replace the muffler gaskets. They usually stay in the mufflers and can be reused. Always did it with a lift and adapter. No problem. You have to get it pretty much all the way up before the rear tire will come out but it works fine.
  20. It's only sexy when Eileen is on it. And...I guess I bought the Harley taillights.
  21. Classified page, small menu bar at top, "upload ad". I'll give you time to see this and then delete this thread.
  22. Will probably try those. The ones that I had are no longer available from Yamaha. Those are pretty much the same thing. Will just have to find a pair of stock grips now.
  23. I'll try to give it a chance. Either way, will need to find a Corbin passenger backrest and then have it recovered by Russell. What a pain.
