  1. Got them all restored. Not sure about the order. They are in the order of the file names but I don't know if that is how they originally were.
  2. The pin is probably welded. I don't remember. I remember having one that was welded and another that bolted on. That is probably the one that pin is welded.
  3. I don't remember Dan but doesn't the Bushtec pin just bolt on or is it welded? If it bolts on, you should be able to just remove it and install a ball.
  4. Maybe....that all it was for.
  5. LOL...I just KNOW you were. I actually called a guy last week that cleans and waxes boats. He wanted $200.00 to wax everything about the waterline. Wouldn't give me a quote on the bottom before looking at it. I decided to heck with it. I would deal with it if it didn't sell but would sell it as is.
  6. Hey...I fixed the profile an hour or two ago. OOPS....OK...I missed it. It is fixed now.
  7. Trade WHAT? Actually, I have a hitch coming. Supposed to be here on Maintenance Day.
  8. Nothing for now. Going to just rest for a minute and take a deep breath.
  9. I actually started trying to sell it at the end of last season. Not surprised that it didn't sell over the winter though. Had almost decided to just keep it and in fact, when they offered me less tonight I didn't budge at all because I really didn't care.
  10. After many months, I finally got the boat sold tonight. At least got a deposit on it. Kind of sad for Eileen but we hardly ever used it. Paid $2,000.00 last year to keep it in a slip at Lake Erie and still only took it out a couple of times. Mostly used it for a floating camper. So, we will likely buy another one in the future but the next one will probably be a small to medium sized houseboat on Lake Cumberland, KY. We love it there. We still have the two WaveRunners and have no intention of letting them go. We use them quite a bit.
  11. It's not too bad Bob. You have to pull the battery out and then two bolts to pull the battery box up and move it out of the way. Probably a 30 to 45 minute job.
  12. Well, today I got the triple diamond cut fins and dog bones installed as well as the saddlebag hinge inserts. Also got a Dyna 3000 ignition installed. Making progress.
  13. They actually rust from the inside out. I've seen it on a couple of other '83s. You typically won't see it until it's too late.
  14. My only concern would be the heat. I think that they are beautiful bikes. A year ago, I was actually considering a new Roadmaster. I found the Indian forum and started reading though and found enough things that scared me away. A LOT of discussion about excessive heat. That was the main thing that I didn't like about the Road Glide. I've never been sensitive to heat off a bike but in spite of making several changes in an attempt to reduce it, the heat was just brutal at times. From what I read on the Indian forums, they are no better in that regard. The only other thing that bothered me a bit was that there seemed to be a shortage of repair parts. A number of people were complaining that their nearly new bikes were in the shop for one reason or another and the dealership was waiting sometimes weeks on the needed replacement parts. That was likely just a growing pain and hopefully that is not longer an issue.
  15. The Midnights always had the chrome housing and forks, the others never did. I THINK that may have changed in the later years after the "S" models came out. I think the "S" models had the extra chrome also.
  16. OK folks. It has been confirmed that Jaybird will indeed be here with his magic brush during maintenance day. He plans to be here on Friday and Saturday so if you have any striping needs, this will be a great opportunity. He does great work at reasonable prices.
  17. I think that those are both great looking bikes. The 2003 has a lot more of the Yamaha chrome extras and some of that is getting hard to find. I tell you though, I just spent a lot of time looking for another bike before I found the 2005 Midnight that I bought. I looked all over the USA at both dealers and private owners. There are some good deals out there. I don't think that either of those are too terribly high but I honestly think that both are about $1,000.00 high based upon my own searches. I would do a little more negotiating.
  18. Folks, the small patches, decals, etc. are listed in the VentureRider merchandise forum with prices and email to send money via PayPal. Please sure to include your address in the Notes section when placing an order.
  19. Here you go. Scroll down to about the middle of the page to see the ones for the RSV and RSTD. There is even a picture there of the silver '99 that I sold to Dan. Nanci does fantastic work. http://www.acehighleathers.com/motorcycle/other-cool-stuff/
  20. Hey, I know you are razzing me but I tell you, I still have more than $10,000 less tied up in the RSV. It's all good.
  21. Hey...I've already got a handful of things that weren't on the '99. A couple of things will be a while though. VMax rear and Dyna 3000 are going to have to wait a while. Unless you fall asleep at Maintenance Day.
  22. Well I HOPE I am about done with what I thought were the FEW things that I would need for this bike. KuryAkyn longhorn peg mounts are ordered as well as a couple other small things. I think the Russell seat is going to work out but Eileen missed the wraparound Corbin backrest that I had on the '99 and I had a similar Mustang backrest on the Harley. So, I managed to obtain a used Corbin passenger backrest and it is on it's way to Russell to be recovered to match everything else. They do great upholstery work but are pretty proud of their work. It is costing more than I expected it to but it just won't look right otherwise. Nanci from Ace High Leathers has mailed me a sample of the fabric that I had her use to make the Saddlebag lid covers on the '99. I know it's the same pattern but I'm not sure it's the exact same color. Will decided on that after the sample arrives and then decide how to proceed on the bib and lid covers. I want to order another pair of crash bar stiffeners from @Carbon_One at some point. I think that's about it. Oh yea...I need a GPS mount and some drink holders...and.....
  23. I have a set of the triple diamond cut fins waiting to install when I get home. If you want to drool over some more of them, he now has a new website at http://www.thediamondcutguy.com Will be getting him to add pictures of mine once I get them installed.
  24. By the way, I love those Monster Ovals on it. May have to do some looking around.
