  1. I can't help either. Don't have a TIG and not a very good welder. Will love seeing how your project turns out though.
  2. Very cool. I used to want one but never came across a domesticated version.
  3. I looked and didn't see anything. Found some videos on YouTube but that's all.
  4. That may be true with some of them but the one's I've used let you change the tip. It comes up at 20% but there is an arrow press to increase or reduce it.
  5. Love the restaurants that have the credit card readers right at the table. Haven't seen many but it sure is a good idea. Applebee's has them. Finish your meal, swipe your card and leave. Very nice.
  6. Did this start after you had the new tire installed? It may be a long shot but it sounds almost exactly like what I felt when I got the spacer in the hub installed in the wrong direction. It allowed the wheel to shift just enough so that the tire just barely rubbed at times. It seemed to center itself when I was riding but would rub at slow speeds.
  7. Like I said, I'm not going to argue it here. If you wish to continue, I would suggest email or private message.
  8. I'm not going to have this argument. I could point to a several things already posted here that I can assure you that will turn into a hot debate but you know that. Enough said.
  9. The subject of gun control is certainly a political debate here and in may parts of the world. A very hot topic for many.
  10. LOL....I forgot to upload the pictures. I think some of your regret will go away.
  11. I don't know why this debate keeps popping up. There is obviously a difference of opinion between some of our Canadian members and some of our USA members in regards to gun rights. There are also those on in both countries who disagree with their respective laws. I don't know why we need to argue about it though. If there are those in Canada who are strongly anti-gun and there are those in the USA who are strongly pro-gun, then it sounds like both are living exactly where they should be. No reason to argue about it.
  12. OK folks, a guy just joined and is trying to help an elderly gentleman get rid of an old Venture...or what is left of it. He knows nothing about it and wasn't even sure it was a Venture. It appears to probably be an early...perhaps '83. It is free to anybody wanting to pick it up but it's in the Santa Clara, CA area. Contact @Slabhappy if you are interested. Let me know if anybody jumps on this and then I'll remove the post
  13. Good writeup. I will copy it to the tech library.
  14. You know....anybody can start a poll.
  15. I would be willing to give it a shot but first would want to know how much interest there is. That is the first thing they will ask me.
  16. Good job. I didn't like the looks of the speakers on the back either but I bet it sounded good.
  17. OK...my guess. Dan said that he did NOT get a trike. He did NOT say that he did not get a trike kit. I"m guessing Voyager kit.
  18. So....you going to prod me into guessing?
  19. Great that you had the box and were able to send them a picture. It will be interesting to see how they respond now. If they do at all.
  20. I'll bet I can guess what you bought. I won't say it though.
  21. If you end up needing to remove the clutch basket, I have the needed tool and like in Oberlin, OH. If you want to pick it up sometime or I can mail it to you. I'm out of town until Friday though.
  22. LOL...now that sounds like a pretty good plan. Some of that 3M Velcro is pretty darn good.
  23. Sonic Springs get my vote too. Had them in the '99 and felt that they were better than the Progressives that I've had before.
  24. It is some sound deadening material like is used is some large speakers or something I guess. It was there when I bought the bike. Don't know if it helps anything or not. We always use earbuds. I assume it was installed in an effort to get better sound from those little speakers. It also has J&M Speakers in it. When I rode the bike home after purchasing it, I didn't have my headset with me so used the speakers on the way home. I didn't feel that there was any major improvements over stock.
  25. You are right about that. I guess it's just human nature. I just seem to dislike it more than I once did. Eileen told me to just wait and do it when I was in the mood but I knew that wasn't going to be anytime soon so I just got on it and got it done.
