  1. LOL...whatever you say. Hey...I've owned THREE Harley Sprints. Two 250's and a 350. I actually love those little things and bought my first one when I was 15 years old but I have to tell you....I pushed that thing many miles. OH..and I've owned ONE Chrysler boat motor. I think it was a 120 HP. NO NO NO....NEVER AGAIN.
  2. Come on Puc....many many more years of service? Did you not notice? It's a CHRYSLER.
  3. Do you know the year model? Depending on the year model, it looks like it will be something like 102HA, 102HB and etc. Here is a page that shows model number for years 1974 - 1978. Yes, they do have fuel pumps. Use one of the model number listed and go back to boat.net. You can at least see parts diagrams and see where it is located. http://www.maxrules.com/ChryslerModels/9p9_15.html
  4. Well, I've always had somewhat of a problem with not saying what is on my mind. I try very hard here to keep things on an even keel but in my work life, I'm not quiet so controlled. Yes, it has cost me significantly a few times in my life. It cost me two or three very good promotions when I was younger and working in the power plant industry. It cost me again a couple of years ago with my present company when I spoke up when a new sales manager announced some really stupid new requirements on a company conference call to all of us. After my comments, he simply said "this call is now concluded". I knew how mad I made him about 30 - 45 days later when the yearly bonuses were paid. I calculate that my honestly cost me about $7500.00. Was it worth it? Probably not but oh well. The thing is, I was right and he was fired about 4 months later. To be fair, I think that they knew I was unfairly punished and though they never really admitted it, my bonus the following year was much better than I expected. I think they just made up what I had lost the previous year.
  5. One more thing. If you DO accept PayPal, you have to understand that if it is any type of e-check and etc. then there will be a hold on the funds. You would NEVER want to let anybody take the item before the funds have cleared for SURE. The other thing to remember is that depending upon how he pays, they will charge you a fee and for a large item, it can be a decent amount. If I were to even consider taking PayPal in your case, I would tell HIM to pay the fee. He can do that by sending the funds as "friends or family". If he truly has the funds in his account then they will not charge him fee. If he is actually funding it through PayPal but tied to a credit card, they will charge HIM the fee and not you.
  6. Well, I'm not sure that there is a car tire that will work on the first gen anyway so it's good that you don't want to go that route. I haven't owned a first gen in a long time but for maximum miles and a very good tire, I would see what is available in the Dunlop E3 or E4. I know that the E4 is replacing the E3 but don't know if they are available in the correct sizes for the first gen. I would start by checking Dennis Kirk and go from there.
  7. Looks like the 665 LM has been discontinued but there are still some out there. If you do a Google search you will find them available. It does have XM. That is what I have but I know longer use XM and just stream everything from my phone. I should sell mine and get the new 595LM with the slightly larger screen.
  8. I found them and am trying to work out your request.
  9. I'm guessing then that you have something set wrong in your security settings.
  10. Our friend Black Owl can use our prayers. Russell is a very private person and I'm pretty sure wouldn't want me posting this but I'm sorry my friend, there are many here who care about you and will want to know. Russell has been in the hospital for a while again. Various issues but then to matters worse, has fallen and broken his hip. He will be having surgery and is not sure yet what they are going to do. He has been through a lot over the past few years and I Just ask that if you one who believes in the power of prayer that you say one for our friend.
  11. You did good. Beautiful bike and what is this thing about "tired of hearing from you". Not at all.
  12. It is something in your settings then. I don't know which browser you are using but do you have another one that you can try?
  13. Can you see other videos posted from YouTube? Here is the same video.
  14. Video shows up for me. Not sure why you can't see it.
  15. The howl from the rear could be several things as you said but the first thing I would suspect would be the tire. Very common for worn/cupped tire to howl when leaning at all. Heck, even some brand new tires will do that depending upon the tread design. Sounds like you found a good one. Congrats.
  16. @gggGary , I can't restore any there because I don't think there ever were any added. Here is another thread where he added a couple though. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?119593-YES-WHINE-is-GONE-I-Finally-did-IT-PUT-OIL-line-to-THE-DRIVE-gear-on-Clutch-housing&p=968152#post968152
  17. @relic , They are now restored.
  18. I assume you have the manual and have learned how to switch between tape, aux, radio and etc? If so, my next step would be to pull the front off the fairing and check all the connectors in the big plugs.
  19. I can't help either. Don't have a TIG and not a very good welder. Will love seeing how your project turns out though.
  20. Very cool. I used to want one but never came across a domesticated version.
  21. I looked and didn't see anything. Found some videos on YouTube but that's all.
  22. That may be true with some of them but the one's I've used let you change the tip. It comes up at 20% but there is an arrow press to increase or reduce it.
  23. Love the restaurants that have the credit card readers right at the table. Haven't seen many but it sure is a good idea. Applebee's has them. Finish your meal, swipe your card and leave. Very nice.
  24. Did this start after you had the new tire installed? It may be a long shot but it sounds almost exactly like what I felt when I got the spacer in the hub installed in the wrong direction. It allowed the wheel to shift just enough so that the tire just barely rubbed at times. It seemed to center itself when I was riding but would rub at slow speeds.
  25. Like I said, I'm not going to argue it here. If you wish to continue, I would suggest email or private message.
