Hi from France ! Here in France, many bikers ride with metzeler ! There are two models metzeler for venture ! 140 90 16 but one is 71 H and the other 77 H ! The H is for maximum speed but 71 and 77 are for weight ! If you look at the heavy weight of the Venture, naturally it needs a 77 (I buy a 77 H !) For the front weel there are also two models 65 and 71 (I buy a 71 H) All the pneumatics have that maximum weight note ! The best is always buy the maximum !!! Exemple T = 190 km/h, U = 200 km/h, H = 210 km/h, V = more than 210 km/h ......... Other exemple : 60 is for 250 kg, 61 = 257, 62 = 265kg, ...69 = 325kg, 70 = 335kg, 71 = 345kg, 72 = 355kg.....77 = 412kg Here we have many site who's name is "Read a pneumatic", there is all that you that you can read on a pneumatic, week and year of manufacture........... Why no Metzeler :puzzled:? I buy two metz for my 1200 venture !!! It's a Venture Rider who tell me that they're real good tyre for venture ! ?????????? Hi snaggletooth ! I don't think that I've a good english control ! But, like I said to Squid, I've a dream.......ride a bike (i don't know when !) in your countries in the USA ! Then I learn every days a little bit more and talk with you on ventureriders is a good thing to learn !!! Hi Snaggletooth, Marcarl, Squid...................:happy34::happy34: Snaggletooth, I think like you that: I had given thought to delinking the brakes and going to the old school, front is front and back is back ! But Someone say that it is'nt a good idea and it's very risky !!! Well, I think that in the firt time the best is change my pads (for EBC or Carbone Loraine in HH quality) and brake lines and if it is'nt like I want, I transform all and put R1 caliper on rear weel and 6 pot GSXR on front weel ! I like good brakes and curently it's good and also dangerous ! Thanks for all ! And if someone make a real change on his brake system, I'm interested for pics or plans !!! Hi Squid ! If you want to visit France and Paris, it's when you want, my home's open ! Before live neer the Atlantic Ocean, I live neer Paris and in Paris where I'm born ! But I prefer my actual sweet town with many water around and canals where I make walk with my small boat ! In spring and winter we can eatcrayfish and fish that we fish ! When you want Brad ! I don't understand:think:, everythings OK, the liquid new, the brake pads OK, the rotors too and the brake system is dangerous ! I'm gonna look at the mastercylinders and probably buy a stainless steel line ! barry-only-n7

Thanks for all squid ! I've changed my brake liquid, cleaned every parts, the rotors are 8.4mm thickness (8.5mm new!!!) but I'm afraid to ride that bike with that original brake system ! Is it a good thing to separate front and rear brakes, is it a good thing to change the rotors for R1 model, I don't know and I tell Squid to put this message on line ! I buy R6 front and rear calipers but I need aluminium parts to adapt on my forks, the front and rear rotor have the same size like R1 (298mm) but is it a good idea to change ? If I change the front master cylinder for a 19mm (ZX7 or R1) with the Vmax system (2 rotors on front command) and the rear rotor only with the pedal with a 13 or 14mm master cylinder ! Is it good ? I just search a venture rider who change is 1200 venture brake system and who can tell me what he put on his bike ! "AND", if a venture rider take pics of aluminium parts to adapt R1 or R6 calipers !!!! Thanks for all !
