  1. a thin wall sparkplug socket from Lowes is what I use. The regular wall plug socket doesnt work,.... not enough space. Brian
  2. yep search tempest works great, its a bit confusing when it opens up the 2 windows, but after ya get it figured out, theres nothing better that Ive found. http://www.searchtempest.com/

  4. Kevin wont have any snow on Vancouver island, but I would LOVE to send all of the white stuff we have here.... Brian
  5. Corner Gas is a show I enjoy, its kinda quirky and an acquired taste, but a good clean fun show that was shot about 30 miles south of Regina SK. with the indoor scenes shot here in town at the sound stage. I am not too keen on Dan for mayor, but get a kick out the slapstick stuff on Red Green. if youre looking for a comedy satire about canadian amateur hockey try to find the 1980's movie Slapshot, Paul Newman starred in the low budget flick but it is funny. Little Mosque on the Prairie was filmed here in SK. too, but it just didnt do much for me, but, i do like the weekly comedy show that Rick Mercer puts on, he travels all over Canada being a sort of everyman doing different stuff and sniping at our politicians. http://www.rickmercer.com/ . BTW all of the Stargate series were filmed in BC mostly, so was Battlestar Galactica a couple of years ago, I think. Here are a couple of pics for you. Brian
  6. i loved my 85 g1 venture, but will be looking for a good price on an early G2 Venture when i get this surgery done in a couple of weeks. Brian
  7. Yep, been doing that now for a while... , actually havnt noticed it happen since Ive been using firefox and chrome....
  8. Its happened to me a couple of times too, and only on large time consuming posts. I think it could be something like the issue we have at work with our webmail running on Exchange server. In IE i understand there is a timer of some kind running and after a set time the exchange server thinks you should be done and it times you out if youre not actively working. It will let you send or save the message, but anything else you do will wipe the message out and you have to start all over and log yourself in again. As most of us probably have our settings set to auto login and we dont get logged out entirely here, here we just lose our data. THats my story and I am sticking with it..... Brian
  9. My friend Bud and a couple of his friends did the ride from Swift Current, Saskatchewan to Alaska and they did a daily picture blog. Here is the link, this might give you an idea what its like on the roads. http://www.scra.ca/alaska/ You will be on pavement most of the time in Canada and if your coming up from North Dakota, stop in and say hi! Brian
  10. Ya gotta quit that nude sunbathing on the deck.....:yikes: Brian
  11. you just got shorter since you rode a Venture last,....they do say that you get smaller as you age,...so most of us around here are a LOT shorter than we used to be... Brian
  12. This is a great quality video taken while flying atround Vancouver island BC and area. John Veale, a native of BC, moved to Regina SK to work for the CBC as a broadcaster. While in Regina for the 28 years of his career he built a Bushby Mustang ll aircraft. He toured Saskatchewan in the plane while he was here, but now has moved back home to Mill Bay BC on Vancouver Island and has started filming with high quality cameras. Enjoy the tour all over the Vancouver Bay area and see the beauty from John's point of view in the 20 minute video. Enjoy the wonderful scenery!!! 24. I have an account at a different bank that I only use for paypal and online purchases. I like to keep online stuff separate from real life stuff. i also have an Mastercard debit card for that account in case someone needs a credit card for a purchase. Maybe I am being paranoid, but i think the small expense for peace of mind is worth it. Brian
  25. I know Condor has one on his 99 but I also know that youre not getting that one... , but you may be able to convince him to send you a picture if you message him. Brian
