  5. Found out motor stays warm like a cars engine, most of the heat raises through the frame and goose neck area and comes out at the handle bars, felt warmth coming up an hour and a half later from the motor
  6. I shut the bike off like and hour and a half ago. The motor is still throwing off heat? What's up with that?

  8. I became big into touring after meeting a rider from the Blue Knights Chapter #3 Cranford NJ I started touring at the age of 19 when I bought my CB750, converted it into a touring bike with Vetter bags, built my own trailer hitch and sears trailer and car carrier. One hundred miles was the Golden Rule
  9. I have the swivel hitch on my trailer, it has it's goods and bands: goods, will not twist you frame if bike falls over, you can lean further then 40 degrees Bad you hit something in the road with one tire, ( it may flip on you ) http://Www.matrixmfg.com I bought my trailer with it on My old venture is in the photo gallery
  10. Gotta change your mind set. When your pulling a trailer, you have to think like your driving a truck
  11. I had toy motorcycles as a kid, and I Reid " On to the road" & the art of motorcycle macanics I've been into bikes from the age or seven Back then it's was about who's colors you who're, then I started to love motocamping, then touring a hint of speed ( Honda CBX ) 147 mph lost my license for two years, came back to touring when I got it back. Now I roll slow and enjoy my time in the saddle, and the last Seven Years, it's been about the people here.
  12. You may also need to move your license plate out to the rack
  13. Lesson to the guys when they say get a smaller bike to start on. From years back ( old school) you had to graduate to a bigger bike, with that comes experience. Remember anyone can ride straight, we have ride like a pro CDs floating around her somewhere. Practice, Practise, Practise, u turns, figure 8's riding in rain. No your limitations. Note to self. Yes the people in cars are out to get you.
  14. Do even tell him there's no creamer for the coffee, he'll stop taking his Meds.

  17. Man, I'm extremely careful going through intersections, more so two up. That stuff puts the fear of god into a person watching these videos
  18. On the ride to Galena last year, I rode through fourteen hours of rain to leave florida. The second day better then three miles was heavy rain and one storm warning near Columbus Georgia packing winds of 70 mph and hail coming in from the northwest , so we beat feet straight north to get away from the storms. Got very wet. Better weather in Alabama But yes will ride in pouring rain. It's those darn lighting strikes that scare the s*** out of me
  19. One of the other points is, you have to do an least 100 miles in that state to consider:thumbsup2: it a state ridden in
  20. do you think, the IR in Guntersville would be a Camping trip event?
  21. those are chances I would never take, first you have another soul on board, that responsibility alone would slow me down, and ride correct. Now a trailer on top of that !!!!. I just see a bad Judgment call on this one. ( I apologize for my forwardness ). I always tell people when your towing a trailer, your no longer riding a bike. (you have to think like your driving a truck) I've extremely pleased you came out of it un-skived
  22. I had the 84 Aspencade . 50K on it. check to the left of the mileage bar, make sure its not 150K. the gas gauge is by bars. Its fast, but not as fast as a 1st gen. mine stopped at 237, 891.8 when I hit the deer
  23. I buy extra insurance, for the number of days up there, and also for my trailer. cost about 25 bucks for two weeks, but its well worth it.
