  1. They're still in my plans. I just got swamped with orders that have to fabricated before I can play. I bought an RSV a month and a half ago and still haven't been able to get out of the county on it. 8 miles to the county line. Next few weeks should catch me up enough to pound some of these out.
  2. I was on a sport quad, no helmet, one week before girlfriends prom. She was not impressed with the black eyes. Couldn't see anything so probably good it wasn't a two wheeler.
  3. Had the same issue straight to the nose at 65. Broken nose-dead quail.
  4. The head temps are filtering up in the seat and burning out the heater.
  5. I punched in: venture royale exhaust on eBay. There are some there around $100. Saw one full exhaust system on auction with $95 opening bid.
  6. Installed the Edset (Buddy Rich) cable. Quick painless install. The iPhone 7 works great so far with it with the exception of trying to stream Pandora. Two more weeks of day to dark work and hopefully get a chance to ride. Anyone with experience being able to stream pandora through the Garmin?
  7. I agree. I just posted it so he could see a pic of one since he asked.
  8. There's a conversion manifold on eBay that uses a VW carb. It has pics.
  9. A cheap video camera/DVR could be very valuable is situations like this. Take care of yourself.
  10. I called and talked to Ed, nice guy. His bluestreak will Bluetooth a cell phone to the intercom without using a gps. At $300 plus an $80 splitter it's getting expensive to use a phone. I'm just wondering how well users like it before I drop that much cash. With kids, aging family, and a business to run I need to be able to answer that emergency call now and then.
  11. See it all the time. There are two MKII parts bikes in this area priced at what I'd sell mine for ready to ride. One wants $2000 listed as a parts bike, the other wants 1800 for a broke up barely running what he claims is a " super nice bike". The trunk is the only good plastic on it, running on 3 cylinders and not well on those.
  12. Prayers for you and your family. Can you get the state police involved? It may help to get past local politics.
  13. Listen to your doc. One of my guys did the same thing a few years ago and didn't listen to the dr, now climbing that 100' ladder gives him fits. He skipped most of the PT and now wishes he hadn't.
  14. Finally had time to finish service and get it on the road. Hopefully business will slow down enough to ride it somewhere besides to work every third day. When I started my business I thought it would take a few years to catch on so I'd have something to do after I retire from fire dept. 1 year later and looking to build a new shop and hire a crew just so I can have a day off to ride.
  15. Is the key worn? I've seen a worn out key not work well. A good locksmith can make a new key to fit if that's the case.
  16. I've run beads thru several tires with good luck. However riding 2 up I would always feel a lot of vibration through the helmet near triple digits. Finally figured out it was coming from the back seat not the tires, that's how those hand prints always appeared on the back of my clean helmet.
  17. How many remember seating a tire with ether? Had a front today that wouldn't seal. Got tired of fighting it and used carb cleaner instead of ether, it's less volatile. 3 seconds to seal it after fighting it for an hour. Rear aired right up without a fight.
  18. I've got an 86-93 hard copy. I'll probably let it go as soon as I get my new to me 07 on the road. $2000 and I'll throw in an 86 Royale ready to ride:Laugh:
  19. My favorite: quit crying or I'll give you something to cry for.
  20. There is no cost. Most of this is scrap material left over from some of my projects. Even though Freebird gave me permission to sell these at profit, I'm not one that's willing to profit from somebody else's work. I have a hydraulic iron worker and a press brake in my shop so I can whip these parts out pretty quickly. As I said it's just my way of saying thanks for the help I've gotten here. It'll be a limited run I do for now as its my busy time of year.
  21. Very possible, it was pushed back in the corner of the showroom. I never spent much time in the showroom anyway. I don't know if you met Randy, the guy that was designing their new bodies and building the molds, when you were there. He is my older brother and I used to stop in and talk to him now and then before he left them.
  22. I live an hour away from Metropolis, IL. Huge Superman festival there every year. I've never gone to one but I'd go to Sturgis if I could get away just to watch Puc in the suit.
  23. I hope to have my bike back together next week. Once I do that I need to remove my stand to sandblast and paint it. I'll punch out a few copies then.
  24. Stopped by Hannigan Motorsports showroom today and saw this. Thought it was worth sharing.
  25. Thank you. I didn't know if there was any other way to lower them, shorter springs etc. looks like all I have to do is replace the rear links and caliper bracket.
