  1. Yep, air in the system. Start with bleeding the master cylinder and work your way down. Don’t let the resovior go empty while doing it, or you’ll have to start over, slave cylinder last.
  2. The coil and the wire are one part. The plug cap is the other number. Yours should unscrew and install on the new
  3. Don’t forget about the master cylinder causing it to. Had my front wheel start locking up at 70 mph. really smoking bad, then about 20mph, she locks up. Found debris in the master cylinder relief hole. Drilled it out bigger, cleaned it good. No ,ore problems.
  4. Thanks. That’s exactly what mine sounds like. Love to listen to it idle from the back. Mine were new take off of my buddy’s 2008 Electraglide.
  5. Why can’t I see the link to the sound?
  6. The old lead acid batteries would last me almost exactly 3 years to the day. One went out in Utah, then almost 3 years to the day, it went out in New Mexico. That time I stared buying AGM batteries. The first one is 6 years old and still going. I put it in an older bike I don’t ride much, and put the new one in my Venture. Then bought another for my Harley, but put it in my Venture and the one out of the Venture in my Harley. Always keeping the newest in the Venture. But the first one I bought is still going. I do have battery tenders on all of them.
  7. Michilens for me. Ran the Avon’s for years. I run the shinkos on my Harley-Davidson.
  8. I just take a test light, find a switched wire, tap into it and go.
  9. Well, if it doesn’t have the proper travel, it will constantly drag. That would really be a drag.
  10. Next time it does that, wiggle the ignition switch maybe off then on and see what happens. Could be a bad switch.
  11. I had the the front brake starting to lockup at 70mph, when I got down to 20mph she locked solid, for the exact reason. Whatever had that stopped up, was solid. Liked to have never got it out. Took my number drill bits, I don’t remember which one, and drilled that hole a little larger to prevent that from ever happening again. Also did the rear brake and clutch master cylinder and installed rebuilt kits to each. Just FYI.
  12. I ran the T4 for a long time and it worked great. I now use T6 and run it 8-10 thousand miles between changes which normally get me a whole season.
  13. I run the Michelin in 130/90x16 and it fits fine. Don’t know why the Dunlop wouldn’t.
  14. I agree, there are four of us that ride together and the cb works great for that. My son doesn’t have a cb, so we use gmrs they work even better.
  15. I did did mine using the picture above. The next time I have mine apart, I will take more pictures. Good luck.
  16. Hello Freebird, I don’t mean to hijack the thread, but which Edsets do you use? I noticed there were a couple of different ones. I’ve always used J&M, they’re OK, but looking for something better. thanks
  17. Been a couple of years since I did mine, but I believe you have to cut that off. You also have to eliminate the auxiliary headlight adjustment parts. Find the top of the old assembly and the top of the new assembly, lay them together and mark the holes. Then drill and tap, then assemble. Good luck.
  18. Ignition switch
  19. Well nobody has to tell you how great they are. I can’t wait till I can get my own. I’m gonna ride my RSV about another 40k miles, then I’m getting me one.
  20. Thats correct. I rode one probably before anyone else here did. But it’s not just speakers that make the difference. Lots of new technology. And when these RSV were new, they probably sounded a lot better than they do now.
  21. Doesn’t really matter what kind of speakers you get, even if they are $1000 Bose, once you turn the volume up, climb on the bike and go 70mph down the road, they’re gonna sound like crap. Just my two cents. Please spend it wisely! Bill
  22. I’ve ran this oil in all my bikes, Yamaha, Honda, and Harleys, for years. https://www.castrol.com/en_us/united-states/motorcycle-oil/motorcycle-engine-oil/4-stroke-engine-oil/power1-v-twin-4t.html
  23. This is the one I used. Take out your stock light and put this one beside it, then look at the picture of what needs to be done. You’ll see what needs to be done. The passing lights are a direct fit. Light is unbelievable. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F282559788361
  24. You eliminate the adjustment knob when installing them.
