Brad, I'm glad you and Lonna are OK. We may have our differences but, well, good to hear you're both OK. Let's hope this is the one and only accident for the Ventureriders this year. What kind of tire was it that blew and did you have any indication it was going to go just before it blew? How many miles on the tire? Denden, thanks for posting this to let us all know. -Alex

I saw one at my local HF store not long ago. It looked interesting but I just don't have the room. Also, I prefer to just put my bike up on the stand designed and made by our own Carbon One.

Replacement Battery Recommendation

Well, my battery lasted 5 riding seasons but now needs to be replaced. Does anyone have any recommmendations for a good replacement? This summer there was discussion at one of the meet & eats about a gel battery. Has anyone bought one and, if so, how do you like it so far?

Plenty more than a jacket and gloves take. Just put a voltmeter on the bike and see that it's maintaining a voltage above 12V I don't have a jacket but use heated gloves in the winter. Added to that are all the lights I use and the system is over 12V all the time.

And if you don't have a Harbor Freight near you and don't want to pay to have something shipped to you, Sears has a nice screwdriver that's long enough to do the job.
