From the vid it looks like they can be turned off, since they do make some slow u turns without them. I also lookes like they can be locked down, the wig got into 2nd gear once with them staying down. It looks like "norrmal" mode is automatic where they go up and down based on speed. I wonder how they react if you have to stop on a road that has a pretty steep camber. Do they adjust to keep the bike straight up or will the bike be leaning with the road? How about pulling slowly into a steep driveway? What happens when that tiny wheel hits a good size bump or pothole?

You cold do the great circle tour. A route to go all the way around Lake Michigan. Then at least wave as you go by me, I'm only 2 blocks off the route.

Another thought. Since you found a lot of crud in the carbs, how is the fuel filter. Plugged? Broke and not filtering? Could there have been crud in the lines and once you put it all back together it blew all of the crud into the carbs? Just guessing out loud here?

After reading your explanation, I realized that that is what I did when I did mine this spring. The only difference is that I still had to also do the mental math to convert to SAE because I have SAE feelers and my surface grinder (to get in between sizes) is also SAE. I was able to get all of mine exactly on the high limit.

I have always been curious, why can you not ride a jet ski if it is raining. Because you might get wet? I had the same questions when my Ma said I could not go swimming until it stopped raining.

If you drain your oil into a clean pan there is no reason you can not put it back in.

I would start by checking all of the power and ground connections. Whenever you have multiple things malfunctioning that are on different circuits it is almost always a bad ground somewhere. Ground and main power are the only common things to all of those circuits.

I know it is more known a a 2nd gen thing, but could the vent line to the gas tank be plugged or partially plugged? Once it stopped the pressure was equalized and it ran good again. Having the choke on would mean that it was pulling fuel faster than normal so a restricted vent would be more likely to show up.

I did start to research that, It went to the PDF file on how to modify the flasher for LED turn signals, there was no schematic in what I found. I am even posting from work (lunch hour) right now. But I am likely to head home early for a nap.

The bike might actually need that....... I have learned that there are a lot of different kinds and degrees of Afib. With what I have/had I am in Afib 100% of the time there are no good or bad days, they are all the same. I have been taking drugs since my Afib was discovered, with the drugs I was down to just a few bad days a month. The goal of this surgery for my case is to get me to just a couple bad days a month but without the drugs, and complete control with some drugs. Most people that I have talked to that had some Afib were able to get to just a couple bad days per year with a procedure.

Hmmmmm First off welcome to the nut house. Did you have the battery load tested? With a fully charged battery, what is the battery voltage with the bike running. First thought is bad RR, But the comment you made about the stator voltage dropping so far while running sounds more like a bad battery or something on the bike pulling a high amp draw, like a pinched wire or defective accessory.
