  1. http://www.businessdictionary.com/definition/going-concern-value.html My understanding is that it means that the business being kept together and run as a business if worth more that the physical assets of the company. The assets would be the hard equipment, machines, tools, desks, chairs, pencils, buildings, etc. I wonder just how many bikes are sitting there assembled and ready to ship? The article does say that there is inventory that could be out the door in 2 days after reopening if it is sold as a complete business.
  2. I converted the stock red reflector to running, brake, and turn signals. Here is how I did mine. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?41588-Lighting-up-my-Venture
  3. 30 Year old stock springs and low air in the front is the ideal recipe for bottoming out the front. I found that lowering the air pressure in the back to near minimum and adding air to the front near maximum, did help my bottoming out, and helped with my feet on the ground.
  4. I just print the needed pages from the on line Yamaha manual and then I have hard copy for when I am working. Since the on line is a PDF file, I have it downloaded to my home computer and to my phone for reference on the road. I have been very disappointed in both Haynes and Clymer manuals in the past. The both left out important details that ended up causing issues.
  5. Just read an article in the local paper about Buell. Buell is a local company here. Since Buell is in receivership one of the companies looking to snap them up is Polaris Industries, home of Victory and Indian Motorcycles. Erik Buell has said that the closed down so fast that they literally could be shipping Buell motorcycles within a couple of days of reopening, there is inventory built ready to ship. Here is the full article. http://www.jsonline.com/business/with-his-motorcycle-company-up-for-auction-erik-buell-craves-another-comeback-b99535394z1-317329291.html
  6. And who be that trouble maker? Related to Frosty who????
  7. Great trip. Keep the reports coming.
  8. Frosty who? If you ain't got 4G of pics it didn't happen.
  9. That is so that the dogs can give you gas at the same time.
  10. That has been done, but you have to bypass the pump and only half of the tank remains usable. It will not gravity feed thru the pump.
  11. You have to watch the specs close on the LED headlights and driving lights. Everyone assumes that LED is low power consumption. A lot of the LEDs that are getting to be bright enough to be an effective headlight or driving light are drawing MORE power than the incandescent they are replacing. So you are not necessarily saving power by going to LED.
  12. I'll have to look and see if I even have any, never used them.
  13. I thought everyone had their VR CC and health. I just had a heart job and the bills should be showing up soon.......
  14. That one might fight back if you tried to put it on a hook.
  15. I would have used it as an air horn bracket. Might as well make it useful.

    Today

So that is what my bike would look like if I were to give it a bath........
  17. Who ever said I was any good at advanced math? letters and numbers and equal signs....... sheesh.
  18. There are a bunch of similar devices about to hit the market. The next year or so will get scarey when people start doing dumb things with these. There are already near misses almost every day between drones and full size aircraft because dummies think it would be cool to get close ups of an airliner in flight.
  19. I see, you are hoarding the Aussies AND the ice cream..........
  20. Not sure what that is there for. but that is about where I have my Bad Boy horn mounted, one on each side. But I had to use a P-clamp to mount them cuz I dont have that tab.
  21. :buttkick: :buttkick: :buttkick::buttkick::buttkick::buttkick:
  22. My foot pegs are both ground down on the ends, My crash bars have never touched In a curve. The foot peg should be the first thing to drag and on my 88 they are.
  23. Bigger is better. On my 88 the right bag is always stuffed full, the left bag is always half full and the trunk holds my helmet and extra clothes. I dont know IF I could survive with the small luggage. I have 528 LEDs so far, People do see me from all sides at night and should have no question of my intentions any time of day.
  24. The screen over the open end of the trumpets does not show real well in the pics. It is not a sealed box. The box will plug into my receiver hitch on the bike, the lights will plug into the trailer connector and there will be another connector for the horns the top of the box is a platform where I can mount a small cooler. I will have a receiver mounted to the tongue of my trailer so that when I am towing the horn will still be with me. It will also double as the cooler rack for the trailer. But like I said, not that I have given this any thought at all yet.........
