  1. I am sorry to hear that you are on crutches, that would be the only way you cant catch a RSV..... If you were on your 1st gen, you really should plug in at least one of the 2 disconnected spark plug wires when you go for rides..........
  2. It is the bearings that squeal, the gears are making the crunching grinding noise. I still thought it was a good question................
  3. Did you do the upgrade to #4 AWG cables to the starter and ground? There are 3 cables that need to be upgraded. This will allow the power that the starter needs to actually get there.
  4. I DID IT!!!! I DID IT!!!! Today I went out to the shed and got the bike up on the center stand and onto the center stand dolly with no real difficulty. This has been my projected litmus test as to when I am ready to ride. My PT has agreed that if I can lift the beast onto the center stand that I am strong enough to ride it. I have my last PT visit on April 6 so I will see what she has to say. On her leg press machine I am able to lift 350 lbs (machine max) with either leg. Now I can start working on getting the bike ready to go........... LOOK OUT, Trouble is comin..................
  5. I would first try to turn the broken screw out with a pick or anything else you can get on it. Many people have been able to tease the broken bolt out of there. If that does not work, then since the cap you are showing is the outside cap, I would first rotate the engine so the cam lobes are pointed up. This way there is no valve spring pressure trying to bend the camshaft or mess with your torque settings. You should be able to get to those bolts with a torque wrench.
  6. There are 2 "E" strings on a guitar. You need the High E string, which is the smaller diameter of the 2.
  7. And you look so happy in that pic, I may have to send you some more joy..............
  8. I sure hope 50mm is a typo......... I do not think that is possible without breaking the camshaft. The valve clearance should get tighter with use, if it got bigger I would be worried about a damaged valve or crud holding the valve open. Can you do a compression check on those cylinders? I believe that I have shipped a few valve tools into your general area. I don't remember who all got them. But I do have a few left. Last one I sent north over the border took 10 days to get to SK.

  10. Not here it aint after midnight. You were to quick by 21 minutes................................. I guess you were unaware that a tracker so small could be cast into the steel of a blade, or inserted into the nice soft rubber of a belt. Hows yer weather lookin?
  11. So you are saying that I am "special"? Sooooooooooo Thennnnn.................. If I say I am sending you some snow tonight and for the weekend, then it must be true........................? OR is it just a fool?
  12. Today at work I got a call from my local Yamaha dealer. He now has the 2016 Venture in stock on on the showroom floor. It is a 1700cc v4, EFI, ABS shaft drive water cooled Tons of luggage space. frame mounted fairing He has both red and blue in stock now. $22,495 out the door.
  13. There was a Darwin award issued for a red neck that used a 22 long as a fuse in his pickup. It got hot enough to fire and got his femoral artery. Then he crashed the truck..................
  14. So make your own slow blow fuses. Just need some copper tubing cut to length. That is actually how the maint guy at work got the fuses o the CNC machines to stop blowing.
  15. It is ok to drive her there in your pick up truck as long as you stay in the truck to wait for her to come back out after the concert. OR Deposit your man card into the slot in the top of your paper shredder. This is not a discussion, just a statement.
  16. Just ordered mine with the front camera option, really do not want to have to keep moving my head for foolish things like to see where I'm going. This will certainly help on my marshmallow butt runs.
  17. I miss my Rem Model 7 stainless in .243. Sold it to a friend for his kid to use to get into deer hunting. I still want it back. I have to put scopes on everything, my eyes are to bad to use irons. I do better from the hip than I do with irons.
  18. I am so glad that WI just got rid of the waiting period. I can now buy and head straight to the range the same day.
  19. I know that place. I'll have them pack something special in the box just for you. A very special miniaturized GPS nozzle tracking device to send you a special spring treat. Don't bother trying to find it, it is to small to be seen with the human eye, but works real well.
  20. Awesome news. Let the parties begin....... Erika was working for a cardiologist. So I had to go and end up needing one.
  21. using the above info. MCT has a circumference of 80.80 CT has a circumference of 84.51 That taller car tire will also roll about 3.7 inches farther per engine revolution. Most people that mess with gear ratios head in the opposite direction to get less distance per revolution.
  22. Speaking of Friday night for dinner. Is anyone handling the arrangements at the Steak and Lube? Looking back at last years MD there were 99 members that did RSVP, 43 of those did not RSVP until April or May, and the MD was held in May last year. So with it being 3 weeks later this year The rush will likely not start for another 3 weeks yet. Got to give the procrastinators time to wake up.
  23. 7mm-08 Handgun (for sale) Only one I have pic of at work. In the first pic is a 357 Mag for comparison to a round of 7mm-08
