I'm not holding my breath, but it would be nice if they release a new Venture soon.....or at least before I'm too old to ride!!

It figures. ...I'm usually a day late, this time I was too early! Lol:bang head:

Wise Words 1. I'm not saying let's go kill all the stupid people. I'm just saying let's remove all the warning labels and let the problem work itself out. 2. I changed my RSV horn to gunshot sounds. People move out of the way much faster now. 3. You can tell a lot about a woman's mood just by her hands. If they are holding a gun, she's probably upset. 4. Gone are the days when girls cooked like their mothers. Now they drink like their fathers. 5. You know that tingly little feeling you get when you really like someone you've just met? That's common sense leaving your body. 6. I don't like making plans for the day. Because then the word "premeditated" gets thrown around in the courtroom. 7. I didn't make it to the gym today. That makes 1,500 days in a row. 8. I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning. 9. Everyone has a right to be stupid. Politicians just abuse the privilege.

Mine is not blacked out. Bought it in mid August. My bike's got a small dent in the tank and on the front fender and a few other character marks from the p.o.'s kids so at least for me, buying the F4 was more of the safety and ease of cleaning and durability issue, not to mention they've got a 4 year warranty.

Hi Don. I would like to add that when I purchased my F4 several weeks ago I had a small problem with the front chrome trim cover popping up whenever we got to or above 50 mph. The chrome trim piece would just not stay put. I ordered the standard 17" shield. I emailed you guys on a Saturday evening about the experience and I believe you either responded personally late that night or early Sunday morning about the problem and you were going to get to it immediately Monday. To me that was satisfaction enough that you have an outstanding company! I ended up tracing the problem to the mounting holes that Sunday. I had to drill them out just a little to create a more relaxed fit. Apparently the shield was in a slight bind, keeping the trim plate from seating firmly. That was all it took. We've put about 800 miles with that shield in place and haven't had any more incidents. I almost bought one of your competitors shields but now I'm convinced I made the right choice for me. I carry a small spray bottle with Windex in it and a few paper towels with us. I hate a dirty windshield and I like to clean it up occasionally on the road. I'm 6' 3" and me and especially the wife are pleased with the performance of your product, and especially the safety factor of the Lexan. Thanks again for going the extra mile! Chris

I just put a 17" F4 on my '06. I'm 6' 3" and my line of sight is below the top edge of it. We haven't been caught in the rain yet so I can't say how good or bad it is yet. So far I like the way its working, especially the ease of cleaning......paper towel & Windex! The wife says she's not having problems with buffeting. If you buy a Clearview windshield they'll let you test drive it to see if the height fits your needs. If you don't think you've chose the right height they'll trade it out as long as you don't remove the plastic protective film it ships in.

...and then the politicians cry out for yet more useless legislation against the 2nd Amendment and hold normal law abiding citizens in contempt whenever they have a chance to use examples like this from the lunatic bin to step on my liberty. @Ventureless...........maybe you're right..........stopping cowardly lunatics like that flat in their tracks might make others think twice before copy-catting. They're like electricity following the path of least resistance.

When I bought the '06 this summer my CB didn't work either. The p.o. stated he never used it. The bike had just turned 10k miles. Riding back from Illinois that day I was fiddling around with it as the others in the group were conversing as usual. I could just faintly hear them, they couldn't hear me at all. I wondered if the thing had ever worked or maybe just needed to be left on for awhile, which I did. I kept keying the mic and trying to break into the mix until they started to hear me and vice-versa. The radio steadily got louder until it was fine. Took all of about 30 minutes but it has been working fine ever since and never failed!

We have Scorpion modular helmets and Ed Set intercom components. With the face shields removed and the wind socks over the mics the wind noise is there and varies with conditions. With the face shields there is no wind buffeting noise and we notice that we aren't asking "What did you say"? all the time. When I used the cell phone along with the Accuradio app through the auxiliary port on the radio the sound quality was poor and low. Recently downloaded an app with an equalizer and volume boost for my Android and increased the quality of the bike speakers and the head sets tremendously. As far as hearing ambient sounds..........not so bad typically.......not so good whenever they're playin' Lynrd Skynrd's "They Call Me The Breeze"!! lol

Yep, maybe the original compressor bit the dust and at some point the p.o. removed and converted it. I really like that feature. I wish my '06 had it!! -

So not all the '88 Royales had built in compressors? I did not know that. Mine still works great, but the part he stated about his bike sitting so low he can't get his kickstand down seems odd. What's up with that? -

Run Off VOTING for 2016 International Rally Location
H2O replied to Freebird's topic in Watering Hole
For what it's worth.....I haven't cast a vote yet. Been reading the links, reading the "stumping for" this or that and watching the videos posted about both locations. Either site will be almost identical in mileage for us here in S. Indiana. Either site looks like fabulous riding and scenery. Either site will have very accommodating hosts and be very memorable, I'm sure. I'd like to thank everyone who's already volunteered for working both of these locations and also the people who have taken time to explain to us folks who haven't been in these areas what to expect. That said................ I'm leaning towards the WV rally slightly,,,,,,,but the wife says she's never been to Wisconsin and would be really happy if it were held there. Does that mean I shouldn't vote for WV? lol -
Thanks for sharing this. Several of us locally are taking a trip through Tennessee in mid October on our way to North Carolina and we were just talking about searching out unique routes to take in both going and returning. This looks really awesome and I'll be introducing it to the gang when we finalize the routes!

Have you attempted to adjust or hear the air compressor with the motor off and the key in the accessory, or middle position? Do you have a working display on the right side of the fairing where the air ride suspension is controlled? p.s. It shouldn't function while the key is in the on or running position. Put the key in the center acc position and see if your display is showing any psi. Switch between front, back, automatic or manual with the appropriate button. -

I never had my '88 so low I couldn't get the kickstand down and I didn't know it was possible but it sounded weird to me too. -

?? Have you attempted it with the key in the middle or "accessory" position? -
Questions that will be with answers for Up coming Agenda's

I like this personally. It makes it more "impromptu" style i.e.,,, if you show up at said time and place, we'll ride together, if you don't show up until destination we'll see you then, and if you don't show up at all we're goin' anyway. -
: I did? You know, in some countries you'd be considered a hero for getting away with something like that!

Good Lord!! I wonder if his wife is somewhere on there? LOL!

And I usually take a peek into the gas tank to make sure my fuel gauge is working but it's not easy in those turns... Personally I usually just get the blood flowing, shake the Arther out with my hand down low at my side then get it back on the controls.

Allright then. I downloaded the Poweramp app but you can only use the equalizer for music and programs from that app., which all I wanted was the EQ because I've had Accuradio for 7 years and there I have all my favs set up, and there's no way to link to another source like that or Pandora to Poweramp as far as I can tell. So, with your idea I searched around and found Music Volume EQ for Androids. The reviews were excellent so I downloaded it. I took the phone out to the RSV this afternoon and plugged it into the Aux jack on the bike. Before I turned the phone on I listened to the tape deck then several FM stations for sort of a reference without making any changes. I turned the phone on, went to Accuradio then turned on the Aux setting with the bike speakers like normal again for reference. Before I turned on the EQ I set the bikes audio bass and treble to 0. After all that I turned on the MVEQ.....holy smokes, nothing! WTH? The EQ app volume was at 0! Lol Turned it up and got the volume going. Immediately I went to the equalizer and started tweakin! All I can say is Wowee and why didn't I try this a long time ago! There are 8 factory presets that are so-so, but you can set up custom presets of which I put in 4. The difference is astonishing. The RSV speakers came alive and made a huge difference, but the real kicker was the improvement with the Ed Set helmet speakers! The clarity is 10 times better and no more "drive-in movie" grade sound! The app has a bass boost too, which is what my ears were looking for going down the road. Did I mention the app is free? Although I didn't use the app you suggested, it got me pointed in the right direction. I'd recommend this app to anyone who uses their phone music app and is disappointed with the sound quality through any bike sound system. Thanks!
-
I will. I've got a Brigadier Android I have mounted to the bars and I have the Accuradio app but the tuner on these RSVs remind me of the old drive-in movie speakers. I've gotten used to not using the radio for the most part. I'll let you know what I think in a week or two. Thanks again
