  1. I think the prosecutor just didn't want to dismiss the case because of his own political future reasons so he dumped it off on the grand jury. No telling what a grand jury will do. I've been on several jurys and I couldn't believe some of the knuckleheads on the jury.
  2. Couple sitting on the edge of the bed with big satisfied grins, HMMM! What just happened on that bed?
  3. Those cars don't have differentials as I understand. Turning the steering wheel doesn't do that much to turn the car. They have to step on the gas to spin it to turn. I can't believe that Tony would intentionally run over anybody. The driver who got hit came down the track more than half way. It was a dumb thing to do and a very very sad outcome that will haunt Tony forever.
  4. The current flows through the wires and when they are wrapped in coils like that, together they create a magnetic field that induces current in the rotor or vice versa. I'm speaking in general. I don't know much about the Ventures yet. The risk of missing insulation is that the current will arc from wire to wire and ruin the magnetic field. There is a magnetic field around any wire that has current flowing through it. When you wrap them in a coil, the magnetic field is combined. My degree is in Chem Eng but I know enough elec to make me dangerous!
  5. I'm new to these bikes and know very little about the engines. However, I'm a long time shadetree mechanic on cars. I would check the engine venting and make sure it is working appropriately. If pressure is building up in the oil pan, it will blow oil up to the intake. Perhaps you fixed the problem if it was stuck rings on that one cylinder. On a V8 car, one valve cover is vented to the air cleaner and the other is vented to the intake mainfold through a PCV or check valve. The purpose of the PCV is to prevent a backfire in the intake from blowing the oil pan off. Intake manifold vacuum pulls on the engine base through one valve cover and gets air from the air cleaner via the other valve cover. Our bikes have some system to do the same thing, I just don't know what it is.
  6. Add some Gumout with Regane on the label to the gasoline available at Walmart.
  7. Wow! Beautiful!
  8. Well, one tiny little photo of your new bike just won't do! You gotta give us more!
  9. Last year a co-worker had a back operation to relieve the pressure on his sciatic nerve from his bulging disc. It worked great for him. One thing that I have noticed is that when my lower back is giving me fits, if I cut my caloric intake in half, my back pain almost goes away. This tells me that my problem involves arthritis or gout which is a form of arthritis.
  10. BlueSky

    Yep

Wow! Those girls certainly looked good!!
  11. You are correct Sir! I thought I was retired last August and started riding more but then took another job. It's 4 1/2 hrs from home and 4 10s. So, I drive home Thursday night for an almost 3 day weekend but then I'm busy doing lots of other stuff. When this job ends I'm retired for good!!!
  12. like I said, I have been using it and my wife has been using it for a couple of years on the recommendation of our son who just graduated with a degree in computer science and we have not had any issues with virus or ad ware. Maybe there are better programs out there. There always is.
  13. I use Microsoft Essentials on my computer. It is free and I have not had any problems. you can go to their site and download it for free.
  14. I think mine should go to a collector because I'm probably going to drop it and mess it up. I'm not a collector. I use and abuse everything I buy.
  15. In 2009, I bought my 85 Kawasaki ZN700 that only had 1k miles on it. The original tires look like new. The bike had been stored in a barn in Wisconsin. I rode it several hundred miles before replacing them. They are not cracked and look great. The replacements I bought from Motorcycle Superstore were Metzler lazertecs. the rear was 5 yrs old when it came. It looks great and is still on the bike. I think the age of tires means less than some believe. I'm sure the tire manufacturers don't want to get sued and recommend on the conservative side.
  16. Beautiful bike! It looks almost identical to mine.
  17. I noticed that the ad didn't tell you non-essential details like what the load rating is. On a heavy bike like ours riding 2 up, it needs to be the highest.
  18. Yes it has the pouches, the passenger controls, and a took kit. I went back to work shortly after buying it (out of state) and I haven't ridden it much. I haven't put my 4 brush starter on it yet and it is running rich. I would hate to rely on it starting a slow as it turns over when hot. I paid $3800.
  19. Yes, the color legend is clear.
  20. The owner and shop manuals came and they are bound manuals just like I hoped.
  21. I test rode a 2002 Kawasaki Voyager with 34k miles in 2009. It was clean and the owner wanted $4k for it, a good deal I thought. But the transmission whined really loud, too loud for me to think of buying it. I'm glad my 89 Venture does not whine.
  22. So, the carb cleaner doesn't ruin the rubber needle tip? I'm assuming it's rubber.
  23. If I remember correctly, Dot 4 synthetic fluid has a lower boiling point than Dot 3 and doesn't work as well at high altitudes.
  24. As has been posted before, 91 is the first year they had the 4 brush starter.
