  1. Question is for those running a CT, Are you running A Rear on the front and in what rotation? I have a Rear on my Roadstar Front with a CT and running it both ways changing up every 5K miles or whenever I have the front off. I get better wear and it was discussed on the Darkside forum. I have a RearCT for the Venture and kind of thinking of running a Rear Michelin Commander on the front with it. I hear they wear great.
  2. Well the Carb is tuned to the engine, the intake of Air and the Exhaust. Your dealing with the Gas distribution and atomization. So going to a larger pilot will change something. It will still run just not as precise. When dealing with adjustable parts in a carb small jumps are sometimes giant leaps. If it was running right then, I'd wait for the right ones unless I am at a point where I changed something and have to retune anyways. OH and I have had luck finding carb parts at different dealers, I have a Grizzly Accelerator Pump in my 1700 and some other parts from HONDA. So you may find your Pilot locally if you do some research cross reference and such.
  3. GREAT! Just in time to put Maintenence Day back on the schedule! Whoot!
  4. It wont pump into a can continuously. It needs to have back pressure and when the presure drops it pumps until it gets it back within range. So as if to say you crash it won't pump enough to drain the tank, just hose you down enough to need a Burn unit to recover. I know, I tried to make a transfer pump out of one. No workie. And when I inquired they said it works like that.
  5. Ive been using this one for couple of years. Works kind of the same but I have never had a false alarm, if you unplug it gives you time to cancel. And its free, I notice now for I phone too. Used to be just Android. Guardian angel or I think I phone calls it my guardian angel. Just remember, it won't work unless you have a signal, so its out on the Tail of the Dragon. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.deadkitty.guardianangel I have went so far while Lone Wolf riding as to text someone what I am riding and that I will or should text them back at so and so a time unless something goes wrong.
  6. I'd seafoam the Dog Doo out of it before I did anything more. I mean in the Gas And some Deep Creep sprayed direct And let it sit overnight. Then Id get on it and ride it like I stole it. For a few miles BOTH pipes will smoke! Whooooooooo! But it just may clean something that needs cleaned, you can imagine a tiny particle of trash might be sitting somewhere it should not be. Maybe some carbon or gum. I'd use the Fuel additive, the Deep creep and the Auto Marine Motor treatment. (And I have on a 1700 that was totally clogged with Carbon due to leaking Intake) First do the fuel. Can't add too much! LOL Then Do the motor treatment, Ride it! Then when ya bring it back, Hose down the intakes while running with some RPM on it Might take two people but get a lot in there and basically drown it out with the deep Creep. Let it sit overnight. Then ride it like you stole it again. If your lucky when it stops smoking both pipes will be clear. At that point change the oil and. Be happy. If not, It will be clean when you take it apart! :clap2:
  7. I put mine in a zip lock bag with the oil to soak, then I re-used that oil. Just saying. Easy way, no dirt gets in and oil is useable afterwards.

  10. Well, I was hoping, The guy is a genius, he has an incredible shop and going into a trike you made a great choice. Once you get it dialed in and get used to its manners you should be fine. I just don't advise it on two wheels. Unless for some reason you NEED it, like left hand don't work or whatever. Let us know. Study up on the directions they are good, but do just as they say. Most time he will answer the phone. But he's not in a lot.
  11. EFM is right down the road from me. (On my way to work) We put one on a Roadstar, We didn't like it and took it off. The shims he has though, that come with the EFM worked on the Burnett and we got total lock up so, it wasn't a total loss. Had it on for a few days, did not like the mannerisms of it. I guess if you had to you can get used to it. It just does not engage and disengage as one would like. I think we determined in our case it did not work like he said it would nor how the video shows. The part about the choice of using the clutch or not, we found to be not true. At least on our install. We could not sit at a light and Rev the engine without leaping into the intersection. At highway speeds it got real tricky backing out of it. It's a little tricky to set up, we had the case off about ooooooo 8 times making adjustments with adding shims and stuff. It's trial and error. You could get lucky and get it right first time. I hope! His shop has some of the neatest machinery, Thats for sure! It Is a cool clutch especially for someone who had a clutch hand limitation . My determination was it's best left for a trike. It would be ideal for a trike!
  12. I'm not geeky enough to run any alternate OS and get it to work with Cyberlink Suite 12 or anything for that matter. Now that was a good windows 8 joke, worth nothing :rotf:rotf: Great jokes always come from truth. To get the speed out of mine I went with the Solid State drive. 6 seconds from when you plug it into the wall until it asks for your PW. Had a computer since A commodore 64 . LOL Windows 7 been the least problematic for me.
  13. Kickshot i don't know what your saying. What I was saying was he got a Police Bike, stripped it to a Sportster, got hit at dusk by a left turner, no helmet and they guy was in a coma for about a year and on medication for the rest his life. He won the suit, on appeal his award was reduced because they found he made himself less visible. He was my best friend. We started on mini bike we made from junk parts. It was a dark day when his award was reduced. His lawyers could not argue the facts. That was my first introduction to lighting laws. As a Professional driver it's my duty to know them and I am expecting people to follow them so I can see and recognize them. Although Commercial truck laws are standardized in US, I see Motorycle lighting laws beyond DOT requirements may Vary state to state. http://www.americanmotorcyclist.com/Rights/State-Laws.aspx?stateid=32 As long as you have what is required. I see no problems. As long as you do not add what is not legal. I get a bike and I add as much lighting as possible, MOSt of what I add is for trucks and DOT Approved. We are not seen enough and what is required DOES NOT do the trick. I encourage everyone to add more lighting legal or not, if you don't get crazy with the flashing and colors I seriously doubt any LEO will mess with you for trying to be more visible. Of course if it IS DOT approved all the better! You can find Very bright DOT Lighting including LEDS at Trucking Supply shops and Chrome shops. As a non DOT approved light on a truck is a sure ticket My Rear http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d139/usmcxterra/9147e4fd-a407-4d19-927e-68833dc76bc8_zps0f463be7.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d139/usmcxterra/20130822_232624_zpsefce7d31.jpg Killed the Square look went with a DOT HD Reflector. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d139/usmcxterra/44c97279-fcb4-4648-b9b2-159155160f42_zps89218607.jpg Same thing on the rear, HD Reflector and Rear facing High intensity LED both DOT Approved. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d139/usmcxterra/20130822_232606_zps867dfb0e.jpg This is a DOT Approved High Intensity LED mounted on the back of the lowers below the air cleaner facing outboard. for better side visibility. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d139/usmcxterra/20130823_001805_zps1d9c29c9.jpg Thats just some of what i have done. I look like a Space ship landing. I ride at night a LOT. Anyways thats SOME of the pics. The rest are on my phone. But Love the High Intensity LEDS! I've had a lot of people pull up next to me at a light and ask where I got em. At teh Chrome Shop by the Flying J in Gary Indiana right off I 80. They do ship! By biggest regret is Custom dynamics lights, almost none of it is DOT approved. Never again! And it's all made in China. Yech! Ok you guys post some lighting pics! http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d139/usmcxterra/20130822_232556_zpsb43d696c.jpg
  14. Try U Pack.com has a calculator, they drop the box you fill it and they meet you at your new place. Wherever it is, They drop, you unload.
  15. The lighting and reflectors on your bike when new are what is required by DOT lighting laws. You can look them up. Its a system best adhered to. Lots of people take stuff off for a cleaner look. I'll advised. My friend bought a full dress Police HD then he stripped it down to make it look like a sportster. Going for the sleeper big motor deal. Well, some lady did a left in front of him one night and he's been on medication for brain injury since 1980. In COURT her lawyer proved he altered the visability of the bike by removing lights and reflectors. As he read the list of lights and reflectors removed in the transition from Police Dresser to Clean look Sportster the jury substantially reduced his award from the first award. (This was her appeal). He wishes he had at least what a sportster had as far as lights. Anyways. Ohio is same way. Blue is for OSP. I drive for a living over 150k miles a year. I can't stand the lights that are for off road used on the highway. Especially blue and pink headlamps. Not even a fan of HID. Anyways the lighting laws are for a reason. To standardize what you see so you can recognize it. Back when Map cars first came to the US it was a big dilemma as what they were going to do about amber turn lights facing the rear. They finally adopted it as long as they light on while turn and not full time run lights. That I don't know why. You can see amber way better at night in the fog than Red alone. If you get into a study of the laws. Even the distance from the ground to the light is regulated. And all bulbs and lenses must have a DOT stamp or approval on them. If it says for off road use. By law they must be coverd while on the road. Try to stay legal. My friend wishes he had the other $500k they took back for improper / missing lights and reflectors. He too thought it would never matter. The pictures of his bike at the wrecking yard and accident scene is was busted him.
  16. I just built the mother of all computers. Specifically for video editing. Intel i7. Over 2k just in parts. It will burn a 7.1 surround sound 3d blue ray. Whoot! Anyways part of the reason was I could not find anything on the shelf with a blue ray burner and windows 7. By ordering all the stuff from new egg I got the windows 7 pro and absolutely no fluff software. Only everything Cyberlink makes is in it. Now I just have to learn how to work the software. Yikes! Windows 8 was a major mistake. Even with the fix its got bugs.
  17. The ONLY thing you should have in the tool box IMHO http://hylomar.com. I've taken a manifold off two years later and it was still flexible. And that was on a 1700 air cooled engine. Didn't even use more to reassemble. Its like spider web in a tube.
  18. Check out edsets. Go 3g forget the thunderclap speakers they are too loud. Just use earbuds in the ear bud jack. Used them for 7k miles. They worked like they were made specifically for my bike, no bugs clitches or dissatisfaction in any way what so ever. The Cb chimes in perfectly. The truck driuver coukd not even believe that was me talking at 70 mph. I was so quiet and clear. No harsh noises or hissing. I think I have like $400 in the set. But I would buy them all over. I also have a blue ant Bluetooth set. They also work perfect. Sometimes I use both sets using the edsets for cb music and com. While using the Blue Ant for talking on the phone, (I'm on call 24 7 so it gives me more riding time, ). The drawback with non hard wired systems is the never ending chore of charging it up. Go to edsets.com and read , only headset to go around the world no problems. Even if you doing buy them you can learn a lot of what to look for.

Look up warren and youngstown ohio. The drug thugs from Detroit come here and kill more of our children than any snakes , bears, wolves or insects. Yet...we still let them play outside. The point of the video is there is hidden benefits since the introduction of wolves back into yellowstone. Cant argue that . No childrens deaths related to them are coming up on a Google. Now google deaths in youngstown and warren ohio.

  23. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d139/usmcxterra/9147e4fd-a407-4d19-927e-68833dc76bc8_zps0f463be7.jpg Yep its gigantically better than stock. HOWEVER! I ordered about $500 woth of lights from them to include their Turn signal kit THEY discribe FITS the Venture. IT DID NOT FIT! It required additional Parts even though they SAID it was a complete kit. When I found I needed to use heat producing equalizers and mess with other stuff and hack my wire harness i returned JUSt the turn signal Kit Unopened. THAT is when I got charged a 15% restocking fee and had to pay for the shipping I got for free. PLUS my costs to return and insure the cost to order from the was $75 When I called to complain they said they would turn it over to the CS rep for review, it was like 7 seconds later they charged my card. I work 70 Hours a week, I didnt have time to fight them over such a small amount. They did what they wanted to do. If it's available somewhere else where you can escape their Return policy do it. Im just about sure it's Made in China. The license plate light I have on the back is also from them, about a month after instal one of the White LEDs quit working. Needless to say IM not dealing with them anymore. The Light bar on the top I made myself to get light up high, the center one flashes then goes solid brake. Anyways, READ their return policy. I will never order from them again. And they lie about the Turn signal kit being made for Venture, its a generic crap kit. It even includes resistors you won't even need. How custom is that?

My Lone Wolf paraphernalia is great in number. Love the Wolf, what it stands for and what it does. Great Video, they probably won't play that in schools though.
  25. They make one that converts from short to tall with a flip. Can not recall the name but from what I have read the ones that have it like it.
